Darnbrough was said to be a main mover in our signing of Mulumbu and our interest in Mbokani, so he's been around awhile. I can't remember any formal announcement though.
It also seems strange to me that the club has never had an interview with Mulumbu since he joined.

Yeah, he has some pretty interesting experience, more than 10 years of looking at the game from a statistical standpoint. Would imagine it'll play a pretty big part in how he evaluates potential signings. Obviously don't think he'll be full Moneyball but more confident of his ability than the last guy.
Had some trouble at Burnley last summer but I think that was more down to the fact that Burnley were unwilling to spend. .
