So upset today to find out that Martin Peters has Ahlzheimer's disease, it really is a shocking illness that seems to be quite prevalent amongst footballers from his era, I was also reading that Nobby Stiles and Ray Wilson are also sufferers, as well of course is the great Duncan Forbes.
I had the pleasure to meet Martin Peters when I was a kid when he used to holiday near Great Yarmouth and became an instant fan, and then when he joined our great club, well that was it for me, just couldnt believe it, a World Cup winner joining Norwich City, a big deal in those days.
Certainly in my humble opinion, the best player to wear the yellow and green, a real class act and also a very nice man too.My first football "hero", and I wish him and his family all the very best.
