Right we have sold (or soon will have) 3 players for £17m and saved on their wages and RVW as well.

We have bought Grabban for £3m and Lafferty and O'Neil.

So we still have around £12-14m plus wages in the kitty plus whatever transfer fund Adams had agreed.

With Redmond possibly on the way for £5m + as well.

The question is, who are we going to spend the money on, I can see us having a busy 2 weeks.

I can see it mostly "already being accounted for" as we'll save some for a rainy day. If the right player comes along we'll not be messing around for the next 3 seasons or so but I can't see us panic buying £20m worth of players. Out of the players we can attract, there's no need. We just need a couple of real top quality additions and we're good to go. Number 1 target has to be a CB but who out there is going to come to the championship that is really that good?

I thin we also will need a replacement for Fer before too much longer.

But I agree with you jimmy - probably don't need to act as though the money is burning a hole in our pockets.

The current squad should be close to what we need to cope with a promotion chase. Interesting that we seem to be looking in the free agent category (Cuellar, apparently also looking at Cameron Jerome) rather than looking to spend transfer fees

Good point. - I hadn't done my research. I just assumed that he was on one of those short term contracts as he moved around from club to club recently.

If £17m is right, then about £7m of that would go on Grabban and Lafferty by the time you include agent fees and all. O'Neil and Cuellar will have received signing on fees and their salaries will have to be budgeted for, but that still leaves a reasonable budget without anyone else leaving.

Most of it will probably go towards the shortfall between pl and championship income rather than on playing staff

I doubt that we'd be trying to sign Vadis Odjidja Ofoe if that was the case, given that he's valued by Transfrmkt at 4.5m euros. We've got a very strong squad already if no one else leaves, and any additions will make it stronger still.
