If all these rumors come about,    involving  Lafferty, Bennett, Johnson,  RVW, (done deal by sounds) Hooper, plus Andreu (Rotherham on loan )   there must be some more coming in .

I sincerely hope that we are getting something better than Walters plus a couple more

the RVW deal is 100% done, the spanish transfer window closed last night, but I agree it does seem like there will be at least 2 or 3 coming in today

yea that news broke late last night, not surprised,  if Lafferty and Hooper go , leaves the new guy, Grabban, Jerome  that isn't that much one unknown, One who cannot hit a barn door from six yards and one who has struggled to score that many......  so .  cannot see Hooper going unless another is due.  

Where does Walters play ?    but thought he would be joining  WBA the Pulis connection

Naismith is a Scot so of course he's being linked.

Naismith isnt really a striker, much more plays a part as 1/3 of a front 3, generally on the left

Can play second striker / ACM, so Andreu out and Naismith in would be a significant level up in Hoolahan competition wouldn't it?

Naismith would be a great signing imo. He might not start every week but definitely increases the quality of the squad

Would Everton want to ship Naismith out? He is an excellent player and I could see him fitting in at City, would be a very good signing.  There must be a CB in as they surely wouldn't have released Turner if they were not close to a deal for someone.  Id like another forward with EPL experience now, and then we should be set.

according to one of the Neverton sites the club have laid that to rest saying he is not going anywhere for 1.5 mill

O my god was I wrong with the more coming in.   that was the plan no doubt (well I hope it was)    but we have had two months to get players in .and all this on the last day.

That's just how the transfer window works. Hell, look at the De Gea fiasco. 2 of the biggest clubs in the world.

There is of course always a lot of business done on transfer deadline day, but there also seems to have been a lot pass us by earlier in the window, I wonder whether we'd have offers on the table for Ricky Lambert and Rudy Gestede, for example? 

Andre Gray not worth a punt at £6m? 

We put a lot of faith in some merry go rounds which don't appear to have happened. Austin remains at QPR, Gayle remains at Palace, Rhodes remains at Blackburn, Afobe remains at Wolves. 

It seems we were banking on the market moving on deadline day and it was a damp squib. At least we landed Mbokani, that's a relief. Just hope that Alex Neil can get Grabban back on side until January.

Couldnt find the thread that mentioned Naismith earlier - search function wasnt working, so brought this up on a different thread. Wouldnt have expected that before kick-off. All going wrong at Chlesea.

Its funny, because when all this Eva Caneiro stuff started, I thought at the time, this is going to be one of those things they look back on in years gone by and read all sorts of things into, perhaps a bit like the Hoddle Eileen Drewery thing, or Ed Miliband's Ed-stone.

Do you think Eva Caneiro was a symptom of something not right at Chelsea, or were things fine before that happened, and did it start some sort of problem within the camp, as that may well be the implication at some point
