I attracted "Norwich Scummer" abuse walking between London Bridge and Liverpool St on the way to the game yesterday.

Did not realise that the binners had a lunchtime kick off and would be on their way to Charlton.

What a rookie error!!!

I cannot believe that there is still animosity in the game. Ipswich are our nearest team that is all. They are not in the same town, even the same county and used to be 43 miles from Norwich. 

I doubt there are many people who live and/or work with Ipswich supporters and vice versa so I just cannot fathom out why the term "scum" has to enter into it. Is it just a need to copy the animosity that exists in other towns and cities?

No, I have, to Cornwall. And with the advent of bypasses etc, I was playing it safe in case someone somewhat pedantically pulled me up on the distance.

Is it still 43miles?

Yeah.  I preferred it when it was 43 miles and a whole division, but the way it's going we might get that back again next season.

Yes I was a bit surprised. I travel on the same trains up to and back from Norwich with opposition supporters all the time. More often than not talk to them and have an interesting debate. And invariably ends with a shaking of hands and a wishing of good luck.

I also had a similar situation with Palace supporters before the game at Carrow Road last season - but that only attracted "who are you" banter. No problem with that.

But I guess all clubs have a rivalry, albeit in our case not so local. It's all part of the game.

In fairness I think most were as shocked to see a Norwich supporter crossing London Bridge as I was to come across them. There were a lot of double takes both ways!!
