"Must Win" Games

Do you believe in them? I remember on a fair few occasions Hughton had a "win or he has to go" scenario and more often than not, came up with the goods, off the top of my head, West Ham and Hull at home last year, Reading at home the year before. Then of course we lost one of them to West Brom at home and I believe it did for him.

This Saturdays game is looking like one of these for Neil if I'm honest. Lose again and I'd really like to see him gone. Nip it right in the bud and don't wait too long, gives us an international break to find the right man as well.

I would not class it as a must win game, but it is a massive test.

Forest are on an even worse run than us. It is a great opportunity to put right Tuesday's disappointment. But fail to do so and I think it would indicate that we are not just having a blip but are on a serious slide down the divsion.

However I fully expect that there will be a "Beating Forest may cost us promotion thread" on the Pink Un!

I wouldn't go as far as to say that Saturday is a much win game, but if we lose it then Neil will be under a huge amount of pressure. If we lose against Forest, then I would say that the Brighton home game after the international break definitely falls into the 'must win' category.

Forest on a dreadful run. No wins in 10. Who better to play than us!! We seem to be the team that breaks records like that unfortunately.
