Not exactly. Wanting full control of transfers means you're unlikely to work with/under a DOF (or similar). However, you could be open to working with a DOF but end up not seeing eye to eye on players/policy.

plenty of good names in the mix;   I hope we wont be disappointed.   Keller is one of the decent options in amongst them all

The germans do seem to have a good stream of coaches coming through - and given the wages in the champs we should be an attractive opportunity for them

German reports are that Dortmund were very keen to keep Farke.  They rate him extremely highly and they were viewing him as a  possible Tuchel replacement;    

In contrast they made no effort to keep Wagner and were happy for him to leave.

Leftfield indeed - only time will tell I guess.

Will be fun to see Nelson, wes, pritchard and murphy try to gegenpress!

Well if is indeed Farke, we will have to trust Webber has made the right choice.  Personally I'm openminded.  It is said that he is bringing his own backroom team with him, so that may mean the end of Irvine et al.

You'd presume Farke was our number one - we certainly spoke to Rosler and I didn't think he was a bad option so if Farke has impressed over him there's not much to complain about.

Not sure on his linguistic skills - but it didnt hold Pochettino back at either soton or spurs.

My guess is, that like most Germans, he can.

Really excited about this potential appointment, to the extent I've already told my Villa supporting flatmate that the league is ours next season (I'm gonna look like a real dickhead if we go and appoint Rosler now ).

On a serious note though I really like the look of this. Young, up and coming coach who is highly regarded by Borussia Dortmund, and will presumably bring a new style to the club. It is a bit odd that Webber has decided to do exactly what he did at Huddersfield, however it worked for them so I'm happy for him to repeat that here. Hopefully there are one or two talented Dortmund youth players that we can maybe get on loan as well?

Alex Neil can speak English but with a heavy accent which makes things a bit difficult

Weren't people all excited about Neil Adams too, after all he did wonders for the youth team? This guy has done all right with a reserve team in Germany. I'm reserving judgement.
