I went, it was really good to hear AN speak openly about his team selections, tactics and future plans. Questions were taken from the floor, there was no vetting and he answered them all patiently and with a great sense of humour.
he spoke candidly about the strengths and weaknesses of various players including why Lafferty has not made it into the team. He also joked that he was ready for the "Bradley question" but it never came.
After suffering defeat after defeat away from home I went in a bit battle weary and down but he completely enthused me in a way that no other manager ever has, even Lambert. He clearly prepares meticulously before each game but can become frustrated when players fail to follow his instructions or make stupid errors. He also bemoaned the lack of leaders on the pitch, not just NCFC but generally in football - this is a key factor and I suspect that we may be after a big character in January to take charge on the pitch.
I have to say that the organisers of the event got it absolutely spot on so well done to them.
By the way, David McNally, who seems to be the current target for some sort of online character assassination, was available to chat with fans throughout the event. All credit to him for allowing the manager to speak so freely.
