Well that's a *bleep* or bust starting eleven if I ever saw one!  Didn't see it coming, particularly as our best defender is missing, although some will disagree with that.

Seems like we are going to play 3-5-2 with wing backs. Not bad choise as a tactic, but afraid that our defence will be out of comfort zone and do those silly errors.

Anyway interesting approach.

We're playing well, but we haven't taken our chances and I can't see us holding Leicester off for the entire 2nd half. Jerome has had 2 glorious opportunities, the free header from about 6 yards out in particular, but his failure to take  them could well cost us.

Good performance overall though so far. We actually look a threat when we attack, and Redmond and Pinto are both causing real problems down Leicester's left hand side. If we can get anything from this game I will be delighted.

God this is frustrating to always concede when things are looking good.

This is reason why playing with 3 CB's is always risky. It was quite simple cross to defend, but whole line thought someone else will cover

A good performance so lots of positives, but I find myself questioning some of Alex Neil's decisions again to be honest.

What sort of impact does he think Jarvis will have from the bench in a fast pace game like that, he's just not an impact player, and how much clearer could it be towards the end that we were playing for the draw? You go 1-0 down in the 88th minute and then you bring the two strikers off from the bench.

Perhaps it should have been us taking an attacking midfielder off for a striker when Leicester did, and I wonder whether if we'd gone for it in the last 15 minutes we'd be the team walking away with the points. It was far too obvious that we were playing for the point in the second half.

We keep seeing teams playing us who make a sub which completely changes the game, Klopp did it with Lallana, but we don't often see it from Alex Neil (the opposite more common). Is this because we simply don't have enough quality at our disposal? Mbokani earlier in the season came off the bench and made an impact and perhaps that should have been the sub to made earlier.

Jarvis was width and a bit of pace, game was fairly stretched and it made more sense than a knackered Naismith.

We're getting better but if we do go down we really can only blame ourselves. So many silly points dropped.

This one hurt as it was a solid display and the team looked like they knew what they were doing and played as a unit.I thought Howson in particular was excellent and Klose is really settling in nicely. However, personally for me, I would much rather see Brady playing left midfield and earlier substitutions that have a chance to have an effect,,,,,,a bit like Leicester did.

For all the bravado etc. etc. its still yet another defeat, plus, the players looked shaken and forlorn at the end and their confidence must be very fragile now.

Only one man carries the can at Norwich, many managers better than AN have been sacked with better results. He is indeed very fortunate that we, 'little old Norwich' tolerate this sad state of affairs. ..many would not!

It galls that Watford and Bournemouth will probably survive to be in the most lucrative Premier League EVER and we won't, if only our Board had the courage of those two clubs in appointing the manager......

Apologies for my rant.

I'm actually more confident in AN than ever before, I hope he remains manager into next season, whatever happens.

I'll accept your apology on this occasion, Wiz. Just don't make a habit of it, it's very boring.

I don't get all this about next season being the most lucrative, the extra cash will go on higher transfer fees and players wages.

Prune juice like Alan Sugar said - goes straight through.  But it does allow us to get better players from abroad

The 541 defending and moving to 3241 attacking was successful against an attacking leicester and given chelseas form and pace is likely to be seen again.   Credit to the players who to a man played well both individually and as a unit to make it work.

Same old issues abound though;  once again individual errors happened and an unfortunate loss of concentration cost us at the end as well, a little poor quality with Jeromes run through on goal (not shown on MOTD) and in him trying to do TOO much with his header.   Despite these errors the performance remained good - from CJ and Bennett too.

Overall though the last two games have shown that we have every reason to be confident in picking up points over the next crucial 4 weeks.

It was gutting after we'd played so well, and galling to have to put up with the Leicester fans, who'd been like church mice since halfway through the second half, giving it the big one.

System worked well and restricted Leicester to a couple of half chances but the goal was poor, two CBs attracted to the ball but not getting tight, but I wonder whether it would have happened had Naismith stayed on as he'd done a good job of providing some cover on our left. I have to say I was surprised by Jarvis coming on rather than another central midfielder, but if we'd nicked a winner Alex would have been a hero. Jerome's missed was crucial, and for all his work he's not Premier standard. Awful first touch, poor passing and on four separate occasions managed to be offside when the defence needed an outlet ball to relieve the pressure.

Alex has made mistakes, but he's been let down by a largely sub standard squad and should definitely stay. This knee jerk "sack the manager" stuff is a big part of what's wrong with football these days and why clubs don't build teams any more. The signing of promising youngsters suggest to me that the board will back him for the long term and I applaud that even if it means some short term pain.
