Great effort I thought.  Lost my stream just before half time but at least did see Murphy's goal.  From what I saw and heard we put on more than a good show,  I have thought for a long time that whilst there may be a lot of things wrong with football, the biggest thing wrong is the standard of refereeing, and that has been the case since way before Sky was even thought of.  What can be done I haven't a clue, but it ruins games like last night, and no it doesn't even up over a season.

Bottom line is, it's hard to win playing against 11 men and the referee (blatant penalty, Arsenal probably should have been down to 10 men before that too).
Thats a given, however the facts are we missed a hell of a lot of goal scoring opportunities, despite the ref.

Husband is now starting to look like a competent left back. Not suggesting he’s a world beater but he’s certainly improved on his early performances
Players need games.

Olivieira was getting written off after a few brief apps.

Harry Kane was written off by most.

Hopefully we'll see more from Franke in time too, apparently spent a lot of money on him? Saw somebody suggest a £2.5m fee, although I'm not certain where that came from?

If true then that means we have £5m worth of centre back not getting a start at the minute, and being kept out of the side by Zimmerman who cost us peanuts.

Still, its probably worth £5m worth of substitutes just to make doubly sure that Russell Martin isn't playing there... harsh but how I feel.

Hanley looks a proper old school centre back, including the hoofs up field and no nonsense clearances - doesn't look like the ball playing centre backs that Farke wants to see in our side, although I'm not slating Hanley because I bloody loved Malky Mackay and Michael Nelson and they were hardly ballers.

Franke and Hanley are the only two singings that the jury still out on I suppose? Time will tell with them. People are coming around to Vrancic I think, he's a bit like Andrew Surman I suppose? Not a world beater and no turn of pace, but a tidy player with a degree of composure. Probably have a few goals in him once he's got the first one out of the way. He's alright.

I could cope with living in London.... but only if I could do my commute on a bus or an overground and avoid the tube system. I always seem to go to London at the hottest times of the year and then suffering on the tube, don't understand how commuters can do it every day.
