Another one? Feels like I have been to about 90 games so far this season!

Assume we'll see Gibson, Pukki, Byram and Idah involved in some way, perhaps Sara too?

Andrew Omobamidele has a sore ankle after blocking a shot against Millwall, but played on. He will be nursed back this week.

” DS: “Byram trained over the weekend so I expect him to be in the line-up on Tuesday. “Idah has trained and isn’t ready to start but can come on for minutes.”

Smith hints that Gabriel Sara will start tomorrow evening. “Sara needs minutes and is starting to get better in training. He will put himself forward to play.”

On Bournemouth… DS: “It will be a good test. They’ve had a tough start in the league. They have a good squad and a good manager.”

Improvements on set-pieces… DS: “The players are starting to grasp what Alan (Russell) wants from them. We are improving, but we want to score goals.”

On young talents… DS: “It’s always good to have homegrown players. It will help the football club go bring in young talent moving forwards.”

Tim Krul rumours… DS: “We are not looking to lose any players.”

Josh Martin… DS: “We are looking to get Josh a club.”

DS: “Todd’s enjoyable to have around and performing. He took it really well that I was shaking the team a bit on Friday. He came on and did well. I’m pleased with his attitude and application.”

I thought Josh Martin has looked good whenever I've seen him. Another joke decision by the boy Webber....

Meh, not overly arsed, it was a run out for a lot of our players, and overall, it felt like Bornemuff were just a bit better than us.

Gunn was excellent, totally kept us in the game, I feel his time is coming soon. Springett fine enough though played out of position. Tomkinson really good, and better than Gibson on the night, who was frankly shit. Sara fine but not sure if entirely up to speed yet, Cantwell looked eager, but ultimately really isn't changing games, Rashica, looks like he doesn't want to be here, Sinani just looks better than him. Loved Idah when he came on, if the lad stays fit he should boss this level, so strong. Hernandez at fault for the second goal.

Pukki looked okay, but still not convinced he is No1 choice anymore. Hugil, clearly a very limited striker, but if he is 4th choice, then that is a strong squad.

Despite what is said about Hugill's limitations, he usually converts his chances.
Imagine having a player who scores when he gets the chance, yet "he's league 1 at best"

The one thing I would add is that while Sara doesn’t quite seem to be up to speed yet he is very good at finding space to play in

Did you watch the 1st round cup game? Honestly I can't fault the guy's endeavour, but he is a bang average Championship striker, who could maybe get you ten in a season off the bench. Which is fine, everyone has their part to play, but I would be very concerned if we were relying on him being a first choice starter.
