Great result, up there with the Boro and Sheff Utd wins from earlier in the season.

Sounds like Hanley in particular was an absolute colossal.

Dont ask me about Oliviera.
I think he's just over rated, and that £8m is a good price for him if that's all is on offer*

*as long as we've got a decent replacement lined up for him.

Maddison on the other hand.... is our talisman, and without him we're a relegation side and will be virtually incapable of winning games.

Really hope Webber intends to invest in a couple of attacking players in this window with the Pritchard proceeds.

Farke wants to set us up as a counter attacking side, but Pritchard was by far our best player we had at being able to carry the ball up field and punishing teams on a 3 v 3 or 2 v 2 situation.

A winger with Wildschut's pace but a bit more footballing intelligence would be nice.

We could do a lot worse than sign Chris Martin from Derby as one of two incoming strikers just so long as he's got pacier players around him, he's got a great footballing brain and isn't selfish in the slightest.

Oliviera probably now wants to knock Maddisons head off for that time when all he needed to do was square the ball to Nelson in the six yard box though.

That was a great result.  Managed to find a stream, courtesy of you know, where for most of the second half.  Thought we looked very comfortable except for time added on.  Bristol City very overrated imo.  Proved we still have a good side without Pritchard, but we must keep Maddison until the summer at least.  OTBC.

Fantastic that. 1st half we were excellent, 2nd was a bit more shaky but crucially we grabbed a goal. As others have said reminiscent to some of our away performances earlier in the season. Not saying we'll get there, but we're now just 6 points from the play-offs!

Bristol City weren't amazing, but this result does prove that the 7 points from 9 we'd taken in the league before this weren't just down to us playing poor sides. Hopefully now that puts a bit of optimism back into the club which was draining after Pritchard left. Some brilliant individual performances today. The whole back 5 and holding midfielders all excellent. Murphy was unlucky as well in the 1st half when he did everything right but had a shot cleared off the line. Brilliantly taken goal from Maddison. We simply cannot sell him this window. Nelson looked disinterested. My stream went down towards the end of the 1st half so missed the apparent clear opportunity he had, but if we have a good replacement lined up I definitely wouldn't opposed to selling him.

I'm not on the other forum but I had a quick look and noticed that the guy who created a thread about Vrancic, and posts in it after every loss saying how Vrancic was responsible, has kept quiet after he got the assist for our goal  :D  Half tempted to sign up just to post in that thread aha.

We've got a tough run coming up but this is the perfect way to start it. Well done today lads let's keep it going!

There's no doubt that's an excellent team and individual goal we scored, and again showing what we are capable of.

The big question though is, do we have the coaching team that can get our team to perform to it's potential more often, on a regular basis?
