Pretty sure we'll sell anyone for £10m or thereabouts.

Would be hoping for more for Maddison at the point at which we sell him to be honest. If he can't achieve more than that at the minute then keep him until he can.

Murphy at £12m, Redmond at £10m (one year left on deal, so avoided tribunal).

I personally think Maddison will be more likely to leave next summer.

We're going to be in a bit of a sh*t place when Maddison is sold, Hoolahan is released, and Naismith is given his sweetener... we'll be left relying on Pritchard, who is undoubtedly really talented but is only here because of a serious injury and will probably be prone to injuries forever. Its the one position where we've been a bit spoiled for choice in recent times.

I don't see Maddison as being any better than Brady or Redmond so I can't see a particularly big jump in the size of transfer fee. And also, people are going to to know we need the money.

But football is crazy so it wouldn't surprise me if someone did offer silly money.

There was downward pressure on the Redmond fee because they knew we had no choice but to sell in that window, because he had 1 year on his deal.... and was 6 months away from being able to agree a pre-contract to join Lazio, Lisbon, Hamburg, PSV or Sevilla for no compensation.

We couldn't have risked waiting another window, so not a sellers market. That's why Redmond went for less than Murphy, despite the former clearly being the better rated (and actually better) player.

Yeah, I know that. But Maddison is not a significantly better player (possibly not better at all) and we will need the money. So I won't be getting my hopes up for something nearer £20m or whatever.
