Grimshaw hasn’t really done much wrong since replacing Vlad. Cordoba pretty much at fault for the goals on Saturday. I think it would be harsh to drop him, Grimshaw that is.
Whether either keepers are the answer long term I’m not so sure.

Derby are shocking at the moment, I'd be disappointed with fewer than 3 points.

We could be the team that costs Eustace his job here.

Yeah he can't be far away from getting his P45. I don't know how they got so bad, they were okay last season.

Think his positioning for both goals made it easier than it should have been for their attacker!
Not helped at all by Cordoba, but he should be better positionally to stop those shots

Grimshaw is not Championship standard in my opinion.

Is Vlad though?
Vlad and Cordoba combined is like a hybrid of football and improv.
The more they play the more likely we'll either see one of the most bizarre own goals in history, or the most legendary goal from a keeper and defender combination.

Grimshaw cannot offer us such hope. :)

I’m not sure Grimshaw has done too much wrong, although admittedly I think he might have done better on either goal Saturday but that seems harsh.

He may not be a quality championship keeper but his distribution has been way better and more composed than Vlad’s though IMO.

Vlad’s USP was always pulling off the occasional worldy but that seems to have completely dried up this season, without it he’s looked pretty poor at this level.

I would say that the one thing I do prefer about Grimshaw is his distribution decision making. I get that we all want to play like Pep, and tippy tappy it out from the back, but Vlad seems to love the ball at his feet just a little bit too much sometimes, and it is literally the last resort to just give it a big old hoof upfield sometimes. I'm not advocating going full Wimbledon, but it is fine to mix it up a bit more often.

Absolutely need to mix it up more and better decision making on when to do this is key!
But for me Grimshaw was poor with the ball at his feet on Saturday, but brilliant at Charlton, so there is inconsistency there with him as well.
Grimshaw for me defo not a higher level champ keeper, but would be fine in a mid to lower league side.
Vlad the same, but with potential to be better.

I think, at the end of the day, you have to realise the club's position. I would say our attractability rating has slipped from "certain play off contenders / yo-yo team" to "might make the play offs". So if either were more of a finished article, they probably wouldn't be here.

I watched a Netflix documentary about Vinnie Jones (Very good, recommend) and it had loads of stuff from way back when. It was even crazier than I remembered!
