I notice that Boro fan who came on here for a pop hasn't been back since this game was made, hopefully his comments will come back to bite him on the arse.

I know we probably similar fans, but I have come across quite a few Boro fans a bit like him.

Disappointing, as I don't particularly have an opinion, either way, on them as a club.

I agree with GMD. I think if we play Jerome up front he will cause problems for any CB pairing and both Wes and Redmond cause problems if different ways for a defence, if we just have one of them the other side can make an effort to close him down but they can't do it with both. Defensively with Tettey BJ and Howson we should be ok.

Also I hope our crowd won't be too anxious - AN made the comment that at half time last week he encouraged the players to relax and not worry about the anxiety in the crowd (which was palpable as the first half came to an end). This IMO is part of the reason for our good form away from CR.

Every club has fans like that Morty, some more than others of course but they are probably looking at the pink'un and thinking exactly the same as you.

Had a quick look on one of their forums and quite a few fans saying that they are going through the motions feeling confident one minute and pessimistic the next. Same as us, this feels like a proper 50/50 game to me.

They seem like an OK(ish) bunch really, definitely the least offensive of the three North East clubs to me. Can't stand Newcastle or Sunderland.

We can only hope. Though Iv been lacing some of my recent comments about Boro with some subtle trolling that I hoped he'd pick up on   ;)

I think its a bigger game for them. They've spent 6 years trying to get to this position and this is the first time theyve really come close. In that time theyve seen their team decline a lot. For us I feel there is less pressure. We've had a little period in the Prem recently, bouncing back first time would be great but not a disaster if it doesnt happen. Our team this year is arguably better than last year in the Premier League. I dont think we will be as desperate to win as them, which hopefully will work in our favour

I definitely think we're stronger than 12 months back. Fer, Snoddy and Pilks were all quality players but their contributions were all variable. Up front I'd take Grabban and Jerome over RVW and Elmander any time.

Looking back on it, it amazes me that we relied on Elmander to get us the goals to stay in the Premier League.....another quality decision Hughton

The bookies all have us as the favourite.
Not very switched on to stuff like this, but theres nothing very generous there lol!

All the pundits I have seen on the telly are saying its almost too close to call, but most are going for Norwich.

Elmander was known as a striker that doesnt score goals. I will never understood why we went in for him. RvW simply proved unsuited to the league. You could argue we had two strikers there, one unproven in the Premier League, one proven not to score regularly in the Premier League. By contrast Jerome has proven himself to be a competent Premier League striker. Grabban, like RvW is unproven, but in terms of output could hardly be worse.

I did wonder whether, should we be successful tomorrow, we should consider re-acquiring Snodgrass and Fer - though not for me!

Don't know whether to wear this seasons away kit, which is my favourite of all the Norwich kits I own, but is the same colour as the Boro home kit. Or to wear last seasons home kit which is my favourite home kit, and yellow and green, but I don't like it as much as the away kit. At the moment I'm swinging towards the home kit.

So f*cking excited for tomorrow. Probably the only time ever I'm actually looking forward to waking up at 7am on a bank holiday.
