I wasn't at the match (I was watching Forest Green Rovers beat Bolton Wanderers) but via the highlights it looked like both Pukki and Krul had stinkers. Krul has been dodgy for a while and I think Gunn should be given a chance. Pukki may be scoring again but he is nowhere near as sharp as he was in the past .... looks like time is catching up with him. Sarge is great at centre-forward in this division and is really starting to show that he is worth keeping in that role. If Pukki has to play then shunt him out to right-wing where perhaps he can link up with Max and show the opposition something different. At the moment it is starting to look stale and predictable. The good start followed by that slow ponderous 'playing out from the back' is becoming a theme and it is costing us goals .... another fcuk up on Saturday was the result of this stupid idea that this has to be done all the time. Krul is shite at it, Gibson was dire at it and Hanley is slow at it. Max has lost his confidence re taking people on or is he under instructions to constantly run 30 yds, stop, then pass it back. If it is the latter then those instruction are rubbish. It's like all the energy disappears from the team (apart from Sarge) after 20 mins. Smith needs to deal with this by kicking a few arses, dropping the 'undroppable and giving those who seem keen to play a chance to show what they can do.

When everyone is fit I would like to see this team have a go .....

..... it may look iffy on paper but hey, it's got to be worth a shot.

Completely agree that we look a bit predictable at times, as much as I love Pukki, reasonable defenders must find it pretty easy to defend against him.

We seem really short on formation options just now, our current wingers just aren't good enough, and injuries mean we can't really play the midfield we, perhaps, want to.
