Goal mouth scramble at their end, Rotherham counter and win a penalty. Luck isn't on our side at the moment is it.

Different season, same old Norwich lol

This will be the measure of Adams imo, whether he can work out a way to start beating teams who come to Carrow Road and park the bus.

Bugger.

3 cm on the bench and 3 on the pitch is simply too many and looking an odd call now. No striker even more so.

He has Lafferty on the bench I think? He's a striker, we just haven't seen him there yet.

This narrow 4222 really not helping us, misshaped having 2 strikers. Must change it, not really worked in any of the three games we started with it.

And take our chanced

Starting Wes through the middle would be a good start I feel.

If we don't win today I think Adams needs to go back to the drawing board, and I wonder whether Hooper up front with Hoolahan behind him would be one idea.

Not sure what Elliott Bennett has done wrong either, he is surely a very good player at this level.

Considering our recent home form I was hoping for a few changes today.

This from Canary Player:

"Another scoreline you just wouldn't credit given the relative performances on the pitch. City will be in the changing room absolutely livid, you'd think. Let's hope that's anger they can turn into goals in the second half."

Hope so too!

I just heard the name 'Richard Brindley' mentioned, thought I recognised that name. He came through our youth system and was very highly rated, but then got a serious injury and was released a couple of years ago.

He then signed for Chelmsford in the Conference South, so must be an amazing day for him to be playing back at Carrow Road in the Championship just two years later.

This sort of game will determine promotion really and it's not just us. Watford 1-1 with Brighton, Derby 0-0 against Millwall, Forest have struggled to score at home and hopefully Ipswich will blunt them again tomorrow.

City had 27 shots, 6 on target plus hitting the post twice. Rotherham had 5 shots, 1 on target (the penalty). City's 6 on target was double that of Watford (3) and six times that of Derby (1).

It isn't only us. For me, the positives are having Howson back, Lafferty looking sharp hitting the post to enable Jerome to score.

I hope so Keiran, but to put it into perspective, we have 11 points from our 6 home games, whereas Lambert's 2011 Championship team had 9 points from the first 6 home games. It'll never be easy in this league, but I still think City have the best team in this league.

We should welcome the international break, give us time to regroup and perhaps work on something new, maybe we'll even see Hooper.

Does mean that this forum will be quiet though!

Another frustrating day. Charlton revisited although Rotherham played better than them, created some chances and a draw was probably fair.

My thoughts

Try to accommodate players is not working. Wes on the left wing never works so why persist? Play him behind the strikers or not at all.

Grabban for me is lucky to still be in the team. Awful first touch. Hooper please.

442 is not working. Took an hour before NA realised and changed it. Lafferty made an impact as he is direct. Back to 4231.

Bradley Johnson MoM was a joke. Tettey is better by miles so bring him back with Howson.

Corners we might as well give a goal kick to the opposition.

Yes we create but the final ball, decision making is poor at times. Not a big believer in luck. We are wasteful and need to be more incisive and take our chances.

It's days like today I wish I didn't sit 2 rows from the front. Got absolutely drenched.

Yet more points dropped at home, we just simply can't afford to keep doing that. For most of the first half we were poor, and only really got going towards the end of the half. How we didn't score more than 1 is just an absolute mystery. How on Earth did Collin the Rotherham keeper manage to pull off that double save from Jerome? And then Lafferty's deflected shot that came off the post. Just like the Charlton game we just needed that little bit of luck.

I thought Olsson and Redmond were our best player personally, and also thought that Hooiveld, Howson and Turner were good. Apart from that I didn't think any of our team were really good. Hoolahan played well in the first half but was poor in the second for me. I thought Lafferty did well when he came on as well.

In the second half we were crying out for someone to play in the whole behind the striker. Hoolahan playing on the wing, as we said before, is completely useless, and had he played attacking midfield I think we would've posed much more of an attacking threat. It showed that we didn't really start playing well in the second half until we went 3 at the back and Lafferty played in that position.

It was very refreshing though to see a manager play 3 at the back after going behind, and then sticking with that even after we equalised.

Everyone was saying after the game, including Neil Adams, said that Josh Murphy should've had a penalty? I didn't see it as I sit at the other end, but that would be 3 penalty decisions in 2 games not gone our way, and consequently we've only picked up 1 point.

Usually I hate international breaks but I'm quite happy we've got one now, so that we can have a bit of a rest, and hopefully get out of the habit of not turning up properly until the second half.

Still, if you'd have offered any Norwich fan this position going into the October international break they'd bite your hand off, and for once in my life I'm hoping Ipswich win tomorrow, and we'll go into the international break on top.

Agree with all that Surgeryman except for Grabban, though IMO he will be challenged by both Lafferty and Hooper. Lafferty made a big difference when he came on and deserves a start, so I can see him replacing Grabban against Fulham. Hooper has to get fit then prove himself in training and in the U21 squad first.
