Good comments from a couple of people who were there.

From the radio we sounded in control at the start but they got on top and we were under the cosh for the last 15 or so mins of the first half and Ruddy made some great saves.

2nd half we had a storming start and could have had a couple of goals at the outset. Then it was more even for a while before we pushed on for the win. As noted, they couldn't sustain the intensity.

So sounds like 3-0 maybe did flatter us... in the same way that 4-0 flattered Man U last season.

A great win that after Saturday means everyone in the Champ will see us as the team to beat now.

Patience is going to be so key this season. Tonight we showed again that our quality will really make a difference in the last 25 mins. We will lose games and you can quickly move up and down the league but we have no one to fear at all this season.

Pretty awful match report here. States that Redmond scored the first on the scoreboard, but then several times in the article attributes the goal to Tettey. Final paragraph Cameron Jerome is referred to twice as Cameron, and not in fact Jerome.

Thanks for clearing that up guys. Tossers

It's amazing how many sources thought Tettey was Redmond! He really did show his pace though and finished very well.

That first goal looked particularly good, we had about 8 players all steaming into the box!

Sorry for banging on about Hughton but would we have ever seen this under him? Overloading - a very welcome sight

Great second half. The score line did flatter us and our first goal came from a break when they were still moaning about a penalty appeal. Lesson for you to learn there Brentford! First time I have really had a good look at CJ and as the goals were all in front of us it was a good opportunity! What a player he is, tremendous pace for a big man and good all round control. We must resist the temptation to lump it to him too often, star player in this league. Great to go to an old school ground, fans close to the pitch, wonderful evening and thank you City.

You are Chris Hughton and I claim my £10.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it? It's easy the day after to come on and make smug sarcastic comments with the FT reading 0-3 to Norwich but the fact of the matter was at the time we were poor and Brentford were looking most likely to score. I'm sure a lot of Norwich fans would have taken the draw at half time and I wonder what you were thinking at the time?

Its because few news organisations actually have anyone at the game, they'll all be relying on the same source, so if they get it wrong, all of them get it wrong.

The only excuse for the Redmond/Tettey confusion is that last season you wouldn't have seen Tettey in that position very much, it was more the sort of goal you'd expect Redmond to score, but it's still sloppy.
