I don't agree with the 'we're not far off' crowd. It's the same attitude that got us relegated. NA said we need to average 2 points a game but our current average is 1.5. We'd need to win the next 8 games in a row to get us up to an average of 2. No chance. Or we can average 2.3 between now and the end of the season to get our season average up to 2. Almost no chance. Lose today and even the play-offs will start to look out of our reach.

Plus if anybody wants to claim that "we aren't far off top", it is fair to point out that we are equidistant between 1st and 19th, so we "aren't far off" the bottom quarter of the table either.

Whittaker and Martin are underated imo and the defensive woes have been more down to midfield indiscipline imo.  Turner has contribute with a couple of mistakes recently and I like Cuellar and Garrido.  Rudd deserves a game or two after such a good season last season, no disparagity to Ruddy intended.   Jerome is not a prolific striker - never has been.  He will score a few then not score a few imo and needs managing well, so I would give Lafferty the chance to stake a claim - we haven't seen him at his best yet and with a bit of luck he will start scoring a few goals - he's been unlucky so far and could have had two or three before now.   I also think Murphy could be given a few starts so he gets used to the pace of a game from the off. 

• Rotating keepers rarely works, there's a reason that teams usually stick to the best keeper they have and in our case, the best keeper in the league.
• Turner is our best CB, especially against Championship forwards.
• Stating that Jerome isn't prolific but that you would replace him with Lafferty seems illogical as you can say the same about Lafferty. If anything, Jerome dropping down a league has done him the world of good - he's got 8 goals in 13 games.
• Murphy isn't ready to start games yet, he needs more game-time and more maturity. At the moment, he's an impact sub and a very good one at that.
• Whittaker is awful.

Wasnt a fan of the Jerome signing. Never rated him and thought he was a very average signing. Delighted to have been proven wrong and had my opinion changed. Jerome is player of the season so far

Can Hooiveld play on the left? It is an area of concern that Turner, not the quickest, can be turned easily off his wrong foot. And the return of Redmond has to be harnessed. To the bye line, cross and score is my thought on his value to the team. Never mind defending, stay up as the last man. It doesn't always have to be the guy in the middle.

I admit I was fairly underwhelmed myself, but can't imagine the team without him now.

Adams promised exciting attacking football and lots of goals.

We got that for a month and a half.

Now we are serving up a shower of sh*te, are frail defensively, and in the final third are looking increasingly devoid of ideas, just like we did under Hughton.
