Just as we will have finished a frenetic four games into the season, we will have to play Crawley.  The main players will surely be given a rest so Is this going to be a shop window for Becchio and Bassong or a work out for fringe first team players?   The value of a shop window versus game time for people who might actually be involved in the first team?   Or is there a way back for the two of them?    Personally, if there's no chance they are going to be involved in the first team, I'd rather they didn't feature at all, but if they are both good players, after all.........

May as well make this the match thread (Admin).

Not sure what the deal is with Becchio but if what is suggested about Bassong in the other thread is true then I wouldn't blame Adams for never picking him again. I wouldn't.

I do t think he'll get a game but we'll have a chance to see the likes of Jerome, Cuellar, Murphy, Loza. Surman and O'Neil. Would think it would be a game for Rudd too. Always sit in the lower Barclay but for this game I've gone for tickets behind the dugout, best place to spot any potential signings.

Would be surprised if Bassong ever wears a City shirt again. Everyone knows what he's about, doesnt need to show everyone against Crawley. If anything it provides a platform for him to play poorly and put people off. Cant see anyone buying him, cant see us ever playing him again. Real lose lose situation. Can see him being released by mutual consent to be honest. Startling when you consider the previosu season. Becchio is also a baffling situation. Suspect the same is true

Bassong could come on to the pitch with an applause from the crowd, you never quite know how things can turn... All we've heard is just a rumour and think it unfair to judge him (boo etc) inside the ground on that alone.

'If' he was played, and put a good performance in, that could be the the first step into regenerating him into one of our first team players.  Together we gleefully run to the promised lands of the premiership!

Gutted to find that EnidBlyted.com isn't a real website!

Declan Rudd should get a run out in this game?

Hope they also start one or both of the Murphy's, and Loza.

Also an opportunity go give O'Neill and Cuellar some match time, perhaps may also see Hooper get some minutes if he is close to a return?

Maybe Howson may get a run out as well to build some fitness if he's close. No idea where he is at the moment in terms of fitness.

I like it's at home, keeps squad happy at home. Short trip to Ipswich then back to their own homes and then it's Crawley at home followed by Bournemouth.

Yes it would be convenient! Also I have never been to the Broadfield even though its only 8 miles away.

It would also be interesting to see what our supporters would make of the canvas stand!

Rudd, Cuellar, E.Bennett, O'Neill, Surman, Jo Murphy, Loza, Jerome will all probably get a run out. Reckon Matthews, Gafaiti & Ja Murphy will also get in matchday squad.
