Was it confirmed that Garrido was a tactical switch or is he injured?

Either way, I'd like to see Martin at right back, Bennett in the centre with Turner, and Garrido/Whittaker at left back. I'd leave the rest unchanged, but with Cuellar and Jerome on the bench if they have registered in time.

Would be a lovely day for Lafferty to score his first goal for the club and take his first step towards becoming another famous Norwich number 9.

My stomach's in knots already. I hate derbies. That said, I am a coward.

Love the Capacity - Half empty gag!
Every other club, including Wolves and Leeds, will also get their club badge on these match threads - couldn't bring myself to embed an Ipswich badge on the Norwich forum!

Cuellar himself said he hasn't played or trained for a while so there's no chance of him playing for at least a couple of weeks. Garido felt a hamstring so it'll probably be Whittaker, Turner, R Bennet and Martin at the back. I summose E Bennet at left back is an option.

No badge, capacity at half empty! Love it!

I can't wait to beat them, and then hear the 100 excuses about why they are still the better team, most of them referencing something that happened in the 70's! Scummers!

I think if Garrido is out then Whitts in at LB and Cuellar on the bench, Martin RB, Bennet and Turner in the middle.

He felt his hamstring according to Adams' post match comments, he didn't say how serious it was though.

Agreed. Hopefully Adams will see the light with Bennett in the middle and Russ our right.

If Garrido is out, we're going to see how strong Adam's faith in Martin as a centre back is.   Cuellar can play right back, so it will be interesting to see if he is given that job to accomodate the team captain at centre back.    Logic would say carry on as we were in defence on Tuesday when Bennett came on, but Martin is the captain after all.......

Agree with CJRV2014

Ruddy
Martin Bennett Turner Whittaker
Johnson Tettey
Lafferty Hoolahan Redmond

Would imagine we will see Jerome for Lafferty between 60 & 70 mins and Murphy for Redmond on 80 mins

Yes, agree as well.

The clamouring for Martin to be moved back to the full-back position with Bennett resuming his partnership with Turner seems to be overwhelming and mostly justified.

I say 'mostly' because I haven't forgotten the role  the Turner-Martin combination played in keeping a rampant Chelsea team off the scoreboard at the end of last season, and indeed, some of RM's outstanding displays for Scotland.

As for Saturday, I feel our biggest thing to fear is the 'derby day syndrome' whereby anything can happen on the day and the 'up for it' factor predominates.

We seem to have suddenly and efficiently clicked into top gear, which is a pleasant surprise for everybody. It's good to see a more relaxed Neil Adams, and this can only be of benefit to us on Saturday, especially as he has considerable derby-day experience himself.

Ipswich, on the other hand, have faltered of late an even their opening day victory has been brought into perspective by Fulham's awful start and a seeming lack of preparedness that looks like bring a premature demise for Felix MacGrath, MGaff, Magoo, or whatever his name is.

They (1p5wich) have also put in two ordinary displays against quite poor sides since then.

2-2 minimum.

1-3 very possible.

News from the presser is that Garrido's injury was not as bad as first expected. Should train tomorrow.

Ipswich have almost 5000 home tickets left for sale, and the match is ticket only. Shocking!
