If Fer is not available for selection, then Tettey instead.

I would prefer 442 for this match, look how well the diamond worked last week.

For me I would like to see

Ruddy

Martin Turner Bennett Garrido

          Fer (Tettey)  O'Neil

   Grabban   wessi    Redderz

                Lafferty

assuming that fer is fit to play and we want to put him in the shop window - and if he was up for it I would still prefer Seb beside turner.

I expect martin to be cb and whit rb though

This shoudl give us pacy going forward with movement for wes to pass to,  improved defensive shielding for the defence with better passing in deeper midfield with lafferty stronger in linking up with the attacking three

I hate playing Redmond on the left, but seeing as we've f*cking sold our only left winger he's the only realistic choice there with Olsson out. Wes doesnt really work there and Surman is not a winger. BJ's left foot is an option but of course he's not a winger either. Thought Fer was wasted there last season as well.  Bennett is terrible on the left wing. Josh Murphy obviously plays there, but he's not left footed. What a mess. Team gets yet further unbalanced. wonder if Garrido at LB and Olsson on the wing is a future option. Would need to see a much better game from Garrido today though before I had any confidence in that idea

4231 with Grabban on a wing or the diamond with Redmond on the right probably.

Definitely the former, IMO. I like the 4-2-3-1, which suits Grabban, Wes, Redmond and Lafferty very well. Fingers crossed.

Long ball to Redmond who was poleaxed by Ekstrand for an elbow to the face. Redmond bled profusely through the nose.

I've just signed up to Canaries Player for the first time ever, sad state of affairs - worst thing about relegation.

Sounds like Redmond's taking lots of long distance pot shots. If that's what he'll be doing all season he'll be completely ineffective.

Paddy Davitt: "Lafferty has some appetite for work. Grafting up and down the left flank."
