Looks like the diamond to me. We know Adams fancies Redmond up front. Redmond up front is a useful tactic away from home in my opinion, as means the home teams wont be able to comfortably push up, knowing Redmond can hit them on the counter. Aside from that though, I think its the wrong approach. Wolves are at home and will be physical and robust. This approach wouldbe fine for home games, but would prefer a combative midfield and some width away. Think going with Wes is the wrong choice for this game. BJ and Tettey should both be in the side if theyre both fit. Would also question alllowing Fer to sit this out - are we that blessed we can afford to leave players out like this?

Id have a midfield three of Tettey BJ and Fer personally, with Benno and Redmond on the wings and Grabban up front. Could be in for a shock today. Would normally want Pilks on the left and Redmond on the right, but as we know PIlks doesnt travel very well so unfortunately this would mean Redmond on the left

It looks like Wolves have gone with either a 4-5-1 or some sort of 4-3-3, but they have two big strong players in the middle of the park in Evans and McDonald. I'm nervous and don't mean to be negative, hope the players are feeling more confident.

A rather dull affair so far, neither side look very threatening in attacks, Wolves having more of the play but unable to break us down much so far.

Nothing stands out much, but so far Olsson is putting a decent shift for us.

Terrible so far from us. Diamond needs to be nipped in the bud and quick.

This is *bleep* *bleep*. Apart from the back 4 and Johnson the rest of the team are playing crap.

Grabban looks like a waste of space Bennett and Redmond have done nothing neither has wes or surman.

In 38 minutes have created nothing , slow and lacking ideas just like last season

We are fairly rubbish in the final third, I'm impressed with our defensive composure so far and generally good passing play in the midfield.

Anyone can pass sideways and backwards with no pressure. It's the passing forward we are so poor at

As much as I don't want to breed negativity, hard to disagree - really expected us to look well drilled in the final third. We are usually bad in the first game of the season though, first day nerves.

Our performance so far shows how much we need to try and keep hold of Fer and Hooper. Defensively we have looked pretty strong.

0-0 half time, said I'd take a draw before the game, we shall see what the second half brings.

Wolves look in control now, getting into the flow of the game and we look increasingly disjointed and unsure.

Grateful for the half time whistle!

Pretty turgid from both sides so far. We are badly losing the midfield battle, shame fer isn't available. I would bring Tettey on for Surman soon. Can't complain about 0-0 tbh. Hopefully we sneak one on the break second half. It is going to be a tough season. Hopefully we have a couple of players ready to rise above the averageness this league provides. 9 men to play to standard and at least 2 to show something a bit special is what we need.

Defense looks decent. But I feel like I am watching a U12 game.  Every time the ball goes to one side or the other the whole team collapses to that side, which is leaving us wide open on the opposite side.  We are lucky Wolves haven't been able to capitalize on that yet.  Movement in the midfield is slow and predictable.  I am trying to find something good to say about the final third but I am having lots of trouble doing so.

Fer could be a consistent match winner at this level, Hooper has his moments (West Ham penalty, Swansea volley),today we find out if Adams is willing to make early changes - agree with you Jimmy, need Tettey in the middle.

Well pretty much as suspected - tactics are wrong, not a game for Hoolahan. Being bossed in midfield, cant get the ball, Bennett and Surman struggling to play the CM part of their role and front two not in the game. Not a game for the diamond IMO. Possibly need Lafferty on if he's fit. Might help if Tettey were in the middle with BJ

Worried about both fullbacks as well. Olsson looks like he hurt himself and looks laboured, doesnt look his usual comfortable self. Whittaker I worry could be the weak link, No pace, poor positioning and tendency to over-commit - not seen much worrying from him so far but concerned he could be the chink in the armour

Totally agree with all of this, and I think frankly away from home Hoolahan should be left on the bench.

Whittaker has coped better than I expected so far but I think Martin has more to offer us at right back.

Some good attacking play there, I thought Surman was going to test the keeper but just picked the wrong moment to pull the trigger.

Fantastic pass to get Grabban in, we're threatening now....
