Read it again and think who would have been there when lambert was, who has been recently given gardening leave, and who would have inside pictures of Carrow road. Leaving at the end of August with no job to go to as Chris hasn't found him a new position yet - I think mr Chester may have been causing a bit of mischief

Hmmm.... does make me wonder now.

If he has been at the club working then a Chinese with McNally would be nothing other than a goodbye meal.

If he has been on gardening leave since May then a Chinese with McNally would seem odd wouldn't it?

I suspect that he was on gardening leave to protect the club against him joining up with Hughton again or another rival club with our intel, but that since it became apparent that Hughton was remaining unemployed we've utilised him and he's been behind the scenes helping to tie up deals etc? In which case, a goodbye meal would just be completely normal.

Perhaps the Kyle Lafferty and Carlos Cuellar deals answer the question, two former Rangers players after we'd already signed Whittaker and Gafaiti under Hughton, it is likely he has not been on gardening leave but very much actively involved?
