Let the RN 1971, moved to Norwich a year later. Watched quite a few sessions on Mousehold. That man certainly worked his players, but he also did the work with them. Good man, magic times. Oh for a David Cross or Jimmy Bone nowl

I remember “psycho” David Cross playing for West Ham in the late seventies - best described as Grant Holt with attitude Quite a handful with Alan Devonshire pinging in crosses although Cross was just as likely to hoof a defender into the net as the ball.

Thanks for posting, I remember the Ron Saunders era well, we were a tough uncompromising team at that time......but it did take a couple of seasons of rebuilding to enable success to come.......perhaps we are now seeing similar happen again?
