One thing that has annoyed me since Sunday

Is the number of people who are suddenly hardcore Norwich fans just because the team went to Wembley.

For example there's these 2 guys who I'm friends with on Facebook who used to play for the same football team as me. They're brothers, and one was always a Chelsea fan, and the other a Manchester City fan (no idea why). And the one who supports Chelsea was posting about how happy he was that they'd won the league only the other day. But then I went on Facebook this morning, and he had put a picture of him up in a Norwich shirt at Wembley saying how proud he was of 'his team'. Same with the Manchester City fan. 

There's also 3 guys I know who have been Manchester United fans all their lives, but in the last few weeks they've also turned into die-hard Norwich supporters. And not just out of support for their local team, but they genuinly have switched their allegiance and are now Norwich City fans.

I don't know about others on here, but this is something that really pisses me off. I have no idea why I care really, but there's just something about it that really annoys me.

I know one guy who has season ticket at Arsenal and One at City .. but claims to be City through and through yet will be at London more than at City.   Another who claims to be a city die hard yet when we came down he went to Wet Spam and claims he is die hard wet spam.

When City are flying and doing well they always appear, when the going gets tougher they are the first to moan and groan, go silent and slip away.

My annoyance was people wearing all the gear that was obviously bought the day before. I followed one woman up Wembley Way who had every bit of Norwich City gear you could imagine. All brand new, complete with shop creases. For all I know she might have attended every Norwich game for 50 years but I just felt that she was trying a bit too hard! 

I also heard one guy say "Wow, great seats, we'll be able to see them lift the FA cup from here". Not sure he was a football fan, let alone a Norwich fan!

Yes, its galling but that's the price of success.

I use to follow the band Marillion and then they had a top ten hit, suddenly you couldn't get concert tickets no more because tickets sold out so quickly.

There was a woman interviewed straight after the game who said it was brilliant and it was only the second ever match she had been to.

I have never had a problem with the club gaining new supporters as long as they stick and dont defect at the first sign of a bad run, its what success brings for good or for bad...BUT, there are more important things to get wound up about, really are... I'm just enjoying the huge buzz that brilliant win has given me...still cant stop smiling....and have been nice to life with since I came home apparently ....happy days
