I'm pretty sure I've seen you say people have got to be realistic about who we could get.

Unless we are very pleasantly surprised how much better are we going to do than Pearson?

At the end of the day he's a step up from AN.

Well the best CV out of the three is Pearson but he is completely unhinged, even if he had a great start he'd mess it up by headbutting a player in the middle of a game or something  :wacko:

I really can't see Delia being happy with Pearson, she likes the nice guys. 

But if she's asking Hodgson for advice then Stuart Pearce is probably exactly who he would recommend so I almost buy that  :blink:   

Loved him as a player, but he's got a rubbish record as a club manager.

Like you say chances of us getting someone better are fairly slim but I wouldn't say he stands out from the other names. All much of a muchness.

He doesn't seem particularly likeable but that's not really a thing for me as long as he can get the respect of the players.

I think we could do with someone like that to shake up Cosy Colney.

True. But how many times have we said that? AN seemed to have that effect when he first came in but it soon drifted. Maybe Pearson will command more respect but it's hard to tell, seemed to fall flat at Derby.

Only other thing is wasn't it Pearson who loaned Martin out? Regardless of anything Martin has proven a very reliable striker at this level.

Not only did he loan out Chris Martin to a top 6 contender, he also spent £8m on Vydra... a player who scored 3 goals in 31 games for Reading last season and isn't doing any better this season. 

That's £2.7m per Championship goal so far, before we consider his wages. 

I'd be seriously unhappy if we appointed this lunatic. Tom Ince also looked terrible in his system but much better under McClaren, and he's a similar player to the Murphy's who are supposed to be a big part of our future. 

If we are prepared to take a chance on somebody that nobody else will touch with a barge pole, then lets at least make it Malky Mackay? He has actually got out of this league the same number of times as Nigel Pearson, with fewer seasons under his belt, and perhaps he'd bring Gary Holt back as a first team coach.
