It's putting the cart well in front of the horse, but if we do win on Monday might we go for Bamford on a loan deal in the PL next season. Championship player of the season, 18 goals in 39 games as well as the ability to play as a striker or as a goal scoring AM. Could he be just what we need?

I'd be happy with that, I'd also be happy to have other Premier League loanee's who have done well in the Championship this season, such as Pritchard and Ibe (although the latter has broken into the Liverpool first team).

I'd rather us be buying players than loaning when in the Prem. Personally I'd want players there for the fight, especially as we'd no doubt be fighting relegation. I can't imagine players who know they have a ticket back to their parent club really having the heart and desire.

But as above, lets hopefully get past Boro first!

Well, its Tuesday...  For me, no. I'd like to avoid loans personally. I want players committed to the club and whose futures are affected by the fortunes of the club. Furthering someone elses youth is a 'no thanks' from me. Id rather sign a permenant player. If we're going to let someone make mistakes for our club id rather it be our youth player not someone elses

After watching him yesterday, my answer would now be 'No'. Bit unfair perhaps to judge him on one game, however he was completely controlled by Bassong and Martin yesterday, and considering some of the quality centre backs he would be playing against next season should we sign him, I can't see him being particularly prolific.

Nothing on yesterday's showing suggested he should be a target but...... He was playing injured and lacked match fitness. 

Put against this the positives, he has had a very good season and he may be a realistic target for us. I doubt if he has done enough to have a long term future at Chelsea so a permanent might be an option.

So on that basis I would file him under "maybe"

Speaking to Boro fans on the way to the game on Monday, I was saying that I felt he was their best player, but the Boro fans didn't want him in their team. They felt he "didn't perform consistently enough and didn't look bothered half the time" ( I know the feeling)

Vastly overrated. Didn't look interested on Monday, and as Crabby says, Boro fans are ambivalent about him. The fact that he stressed that he saw himself as a Chelsea player when he picked up the Championship Player of the Season award tells you all you need to know.
