So, as the season has worn on and as I have seen more and more teams rock up at the Road one thing has struck me, just how much bigger many of the teams are than us. When our lot pai up with their opposite numbers it very often looks like the U18s are trying their luck against the first team. I don't even mean just in terms of height, the sheer physicality of many of the teams we are playing against is a step ahead of where we seem to be.
Also, my impression seems to be that we often get tired after 80 minutes where as some of the teams we play look like they could do another 45 if they had to. Spurs are a fine example of this, I hadn't seen Walker in the flesh before but I have not seen a full back look like that before; it is like watching old rugby union matches, those players would get slaughtered now and we look like Underwood and Carling.
