While I do see the funny side, you can't really blame them. Don't know of many places that'd allow advertising for their competitors.

They're obviously bricking it though, however that's their own fault for not even showing a remote interest in improving the forum on their for a decade and a half.

Its funny how quickly things change, really there aren't all that many people who post there regularly, and it seems most of them are here now. But yeah, they only have themselves to blame.

They appear to have switched off footers. There was a thread discussing it lol, looks like it was moderated!

Oh it is, but they have really shot themselves in the foot by letting the forum slowly die. It attracts a lot of people to the website, site traffic generates money.

Having posted on both the Pink'un and Not606, the former is really showing it's age and neglect. That's not helped by a lot of ego-centric posters who just want to *bleep* off others rather than discuss football. This site will sure give them a run for their money!

The only caveat I would offer is that I really hope it doesn't negatively impact on the PUPs thread. If this place really did take off and the Pinkun became deserted, that'd be a real shame for all the hard work people put in to raise money for the CSF. We couldn't really do something similar on here without treading on people's toes... any thoughts?

Despite the Pink'un universally removing the ability for their users to have a signature on their site, solely to prevent people linking to norwichtalk.com, I would be happy for you to link to the PUPs thread in your signature here if that would help. And I have no short term plans to create anything which would rival it.

Thanks admin. I've never been a huge fan of the Pinkun site and am not loyal to it in the slightest, but it'd be a shame to see that thread die a death. Not only is it raising a lot of money for the CSF, but it's also the only place on the board where people seem able to be civil to each other...!

I'll be seeing Eddie tomorrow night, and will talk to him about it, and whether he would consider relocating it if necessary. The place does look awfully quiet now.

If there is a way for him to have a thread going there, and a thread going here, then fine with me - maybe in the long run he could generate more money. At the moment we seem to have a userbase consisting of pink'un deserters and a few pink'un lurkers.

I will be bringing in members by other means in time, even have a small budget for facebook ads.
