Yes, exactly. All this tizz on the other site because a few people here have posted things that have been "said" far more aggressively, and often, on the other site. Free publicity's no bad thing though, I wonder if the thread will last the morning?

Well exactly. Its just daft that some people on there have taken it as a personal affront that some of us choose to post on another forum. And even dafter that some will now read this, and comment on it there.

That thread feels a bit like an attempted hatchet job if I'm honest, at least - the decision not to delete that thread but delete all others makes it feel that way, but we were getting 1, 2, 3 registrations per day and have just had 18 in two days. Shame that they have arrived in a quiet period though, non-football week.
And to be honest, the quotes don't really reflect badly at all, in fact they may resonate with some. There was certainly nothing which needed to be moderated. We've got people on that thread saying that we moderate too much, and people saying that we should censor any criticism of the Pink'un.
The idea that we should censor out any criticism of the Pink'un is itself just ludicrous, pretty sure the only thing we've censored in recent weeks was a comment about suicide which a few people found offensive. People are free to moan about NorwichTalk.com on the Pink'un, people are free to moan about the Pinkun.com on NorwichTalk.com. would anybody want it any other way?

Seriously didn't realise this forum existed until that thread on the Pinkun. I was a non poster on the Pinkun who tried to click on most Norwich related threads (obviously that one being an exception) and didn't have much time for the in fighting or bickering. That said I did enjoy reading some of the things on there and used that forum as well as Not606.
Definitely enjoyed reading this forum so far and in fact it feels a bit like I've found the secret party! I have no interest in judging or slagging off individuals but for whatever reason I just never felt the need to create an account over on the pinkun. Heres hoping doing so on here will be worthwhile!

I think that's the crux of the matter. Some people are going to like it here, and some people aren't.
So one persons reason for deciding not to join, is another persons reason to sign up. Which is fair enough.

Agree Wiz. No reason why the the two forums can not flourish, and cross fertilise. Our club is big enough to support both. Or more, WOTB looks to be substantial but not seen as an issue because I guess it occupies a different space.
I think NN is getting upset not because this forum exists but because he has taken some of the criticisms about the quality of posters on there to himself when I would be surprised if they were directed at him. I think they are a reference to the obvious trolls.
Interesting that people like LDC, Morty and yourself have commented that you were almost forced to take on personas on the PU different to that of your choice. As you may have gathered from my posts I tend to be Mr Non Controversy, but even I was considering setting up a second account to deal with the trolls!

Sorry but I don't recognise the NorwichTalk.com being touted on there. This site has only been live 39 days and already there are some huge misconceptions about moderating being touted. Seeing as there may be some prospective members heading over here and reading, here is the reality about the moderation so far (straight from the moderator logs in the back end!).....

I spend all of my time in the CanaryBoy account, which doesn't even had moderating priviledges, Morty has been overseas for a month, and Splutcho works full time - people can say and do pretty much whatever they want as long as it isn't overly confrontational (e.g. callouts), looks to be potential libellous (e.g. I saw a player with white powder around his nostrils in the toilets at Rocco's), or outright abusive or offensive. No pornography or direct links to illegal streams either, and that's pretty much it!
I never intended to hurt Waveney Canary or George Orwell blokes feelings, or in any way infringe on their freedom to act like children.
- NorwichTalk.com is really boring.
- Everybody on here is oppressed and having their opinions supressed we are censoring opinion like Kim Jong-Il and you can only have an opinion if it matches mine, or mortys, or splutcho's. Despite the fact that me, Morty, and Splutcho don't even know eachother - I've never met either of them. I don't think they have ever met each other either.
- Apart from when people mention the Pink'un, where we don't moderate enough, because we definitely have to go full North Korea in that instance.
- Archant have been working on a new forum for months! This site was launched two days after domain registration, so we should expect something really special.

- One member permanently banned (Waveney Canary) for creating multiple accounts, for the sole purpose of trolling. That user will also be banned from the Pink'un as soon as they have the capabilities. He claims to be on here still. He isn't. I know his full name and place of work, so I'd happily go and Curtis Woodhouse him if I have to (some will get that reference, some won't).
- One member was given a 7 day forum suspension for sharing a private message from NorwichTalk on another website. It is against our rules, it is a fair rule, and a necessary one. That poster threw his toys out of the pram and never returned. Good riddance, the entire premise of a private messaging system is undermined if people are incapable of keeping the messages private, even I can't read your private messages unless the other party in the conversation reports the content. This is one of the blokes moaning on the Pink'un thread, who keeps referencing George Orwell.
- One member had a post deleted recently after a few other members complained about it.
- One thread locked (not deleted) for appearing to call somebody out for a historic quote (when they could have quoted and replied to, on the thread in question). This is also the same bloke who keeps mentioning George Orwell.
- Only ever one moderator warning given, to Waveney Canary.
- All other deleted posts pertain solely to Waveney Canary, who was here for 7 days (more than a dozen posts).
- More threads have been deleted on the Pink'un in the last 38 days than have been deleted on NorwichTalk.com, I know this for a fact - they were mostly threads promoting NorwichTalk.com.
