If i did this objectively, I'd say the scum as they're definitely a worse side on paper than Derby. But Derby's form has been so poor since injuries struck, they could potentially be a weak target. Plus Ipswich will want revenge.

I can't see many people picking Boro after last Friday, but you never know.

I'd go for Boro, as we have most to prove against them. I still think we have the best squad in the division, and saw little in Boro over the full ninety minutes at Carrow Road to match us on our day. Derby and Ipswich would both present more of a banana skin for us, and Ipswich in particular would want to raise their game.

I'd go for Boro too, we owe them one, and after the way there team played against us at carrow road all I wanted was the chance to right the wrongs of that night, plus we already have a mourinho team in the premiership, no need to get another one who will stop at nothing to get the win with their time-wasting, and faking of injuries, their keeper pretending he was hurt in stoppage time was one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen as a football fan, no wonder football fans get stick from the likes of rugby fans when you see things like that, Boring Boring Chelsea, would become Boring Boring Boro

failing that, it would have to be Derby for me as they've struggled for form for quite a while.  Boro - well, would you really rather play a team that have been us 4-0 and 1-0 this season ?  The idea of getting revenge is fine in principle but I'd rather not put it to the test in practice.  As for playing the scum, clearly we have the better side but football is a perverse game and I'd be worried that they'd beat us by a dodgy goal - that's the way it goes in football.

I did consider putting them and Wolves on the poll, but it's pretty obvious they're the teams we'd all want to fancy and they're chances are rather tiny.

Until right now I was wanting Ipswich over two legs (NOT in the FInal - a lottery), BUT...now I think about it and after the boro match recently I go for them as I gebuinely feel we could now beat them over two legs. Then anyone other than Derby in the final.

This presupposes that we qualify for the final. I am not sure that we shall qualify for the final, given the form and quality over the last few games.

If the question is who we would prefer in the play- off two legs to qualify, all three other teams will be up for it. If we are due a little luck, then Boro could be the easiest, but it could come down to penalties, the others we have done well against, but they will be up for it.

I am not a betting man, and I certainly wouldn't like to forecast the eventual team to go up with Bournemouth and Watford. It's too difficult to call.

Bryan Gunn on Radio 4 the other day suggested the dream scenario would be beating Ipswich over two legs and then beating Middlesbrough in the final.

Think he had yellow and green glasses on though, ie 'who would you prefer to beat' as opposed to 'who would you want to play!'

Academic - we take what we get and if we can beat the scum I don't mind who we get in the final . If it's Boro again I'd just hope AN works out how to outfox them this time.

We have to get there first - we're better than the scum but it's a local derby and they'll be totally up for it, anything can happen.
