Its the contrast thats so puzzling for those of us that go home and away. Its lucky I enjoy my away days for the good company and a few beers, and not just the football!

I think Webber arriving may have provided a bit of much needed focus. He has his coaching badges, he's not just a suit, so they will be all too aware he is watching, and will, no doubt, brief the new manager when he arrives, as to who is worth a new contract.

I went for Wes in the end. Often fans give the goalscorer the award than the goal-creator and he's been Victim to that when he could have won it a few times.
10 years and i've absolutely loved watching him play. He's probably been our most talented football over recent years too. Not to mention, our win percentage with him in the team compared to him out is astronomically different.
Jerome a very close second.

I can't help feeling Wes is getting a sympathy vote because he's never won the award. Only my opinion I know, but I believe it's hard to make a case for him being the Best Player this season.

I voted Howson, just for his consistency over the course of the season. He was one of the few playing well during our terrible couple of months before Christmas.
Wouldn't begrudge Cameron Jerome or Ivo Pinto winning.
Would be disappointed if Jacob Murphy wins it, would send the wrong message. He should get the young player of the season or whatever it is called. He has a lot to learn and often goes missing, winning the player of the season may make him think he has "arrived", he is still a rough diamond and has a lot to learn.

Its strange only going to away games this season because I feel like I see a completely different thing to people who only do home games.
Wes has become a Carrow Road player but doesn't often impose himself on away games, and Jacob Murphy has been the same. I think only 2 of Jacob's 10 goals have been in away games.
We are 20th in the away table and our away form has screwed up our season, so in my season as an away only supporter.... I'd like to think the winner is a player who 'turns up' away from home, and that excludes Jacob and Wes for me this season.
Its bizarre how terrible our away form is, but there is something that clearly needs to be fixed somewhere. I don't know whether that is tactical or mental, but either way there is a subsection of fans (like us Northern exiles) who would be left bemused if certain players won this award.

Probably not. Although he wouldn't be far off. Jerome maybe edges it, certainly on consistency.
People say voting for him is sentimental and maybe it is but I don't really care - footballs been full of sentiment and we're no exception - AN got way more time than he should have done and I think a large portion of fans who didn't turn till late on (like me) either consciously or subconsciously were looking back on Wembley.
I'm looking back and thinking Wes has provided far more entertainment, goals, and endearing play than anyone else in the past few years. I'm also really pleased he's heading into his testimonial year next season!

Its an interesting point that someone's selection for player of the season could be influenced by whether they go away or not.
I go to a fair few home and away games, and Jerome has been the only one for me who has performed consistently in both.
