In a disappointing season as a team, when I think about it there have actually been more success stories in terms of individual players than I first thought. For me the top three would be Maddison, Gunn and Hanley.......but then the above comments reminded me of Zimmerman and Trybull, two players that have impressed me big time, particularly Zimmerman when considering where he came from and how much he has improved. In addition, we have seen real promise from Lewis, and Klose and Tettey have had a decent season too. More recently Leitner and Hernandez look decent signings and also Murphy has more recently started to show what he is made of, and I believe wasnt as bad as some were making out earlier in the season either.....even Vrancic has looked a player recently too, and Reid has made a good contribution. So, it's been a weird season of "transition" and from where I was a few months ago in respect of my opinion on our new management team, I'm beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel, particularly then when adding in some promise with a few of our players out on loan and also the lad at Aberdeen who is getting very decent reviews.....The scary part though is our total failure to really address the striker situation, as any club seriously wanting to get out of this league needs probably four decent proven strikers in their squad, and we have Nelson who doesnt look like he is going to lead us to victory any time soon (see what I did there) and a rookie from Germany who looks like he needs a season or two away on loan......perhaps one of our youngsters will step up next season.......and that will then require just three more.
