Imagine Norwich received a reasonable bid for one of our players.

Who are the three players you would be most outraged about the club selling?

Bassong, Tettey, Hoolahan. Those are the 3 that I wouldn't want us to let go under any circumstances, with Jerome just behind. Whilst I wouldn't want to see any of the others go either, if we got a ridiculous bid for them, then I would probably say it's for the best.

I dont think anyone is irreplaceable so would accept the right price for all of them to be honest.  If I have to name three I want at the club next season it is Redmond,  Tettey and Jerome.

Key players with the squad right now are at CDM (although Mulumbu covers that if he signs) with no option at LB and LM limited meaning we have a single man dependency in each position. - so either of them leaving now would be a worry.

I have never really got that attached to players where I would be outraged if they were sold to be honest. I just get annoyed if players move on and, if the fee is published, its not enough in my view.

Having said that though, I would like to see all of the regulars stay as believe them to be good enough to form the majority of the team/squad this season, and in particular would like to see Ruddy, Bassong, Johnson, Redmond, Howson and Jerome remain at the club for as long as possible.

That's a pretty difficult question. Ruddy, Olsson and Redmond were the three I was most relived to see still here after the last two transfer windows so I'd probably go with that.

There aren't any in the first 14 or 15 that I want to see go really, best squad I've seen here that's for sure.

Redmond is the front runner by a mile, simply because he has so much more potential to grow. There aren't too many players in the squad who i think are irreplaceable imo, but Tettey and Wes definitely have that little something which makes them a bit unique.

If he can see through his misty eyes past Ben (I can be bothered for England if it involves a free jolly to Brazil and I used to play for Man Utd you know) Foster I'd be amazed, and with Forster doing well at Southampton its probably irrelevant where Ruddy plays to be honest. 3 consecutive seasons of regular Premier League football (forgiving injury) still saw him jilted at the alter by Hodgson in favour of his true love, so not sure playing with us helps him that much. The extra stamp of 'quality' that would be validated by a Chelsea shirt warm up top might be enough to raise his stock in Hodgson's eyes though...

I think it really depends on the price and contract situation.

Redmond only has two years left on his deal, if we don't tie him down to a new one he'll be off in a year as we'd be silly not to sell if he pulls a Raheem Sterling. 

Every player has their price.

Thats really interesting. It doesnt sound right though, surely Palace would want proven Premier League players or would sign from the championship directly, rather than from us. Just all seems a bit odd. Creative is perhaps the perfect word

Alex Neil constantly goes on about options and combinations, Grabban is our only forward that can do what Grabban does. The only way we'll be selling him is if we replace him with a far better version of himself, a crazy offer comes in that the club can't refuse or Neil has written him off like many a fan. Safe to say that none of those scenarios have happened.

I guess thats what makes a made up rumour a good one, a slight degree of plausability.

Sometimes though it is the team spirit that is lost when you start selling off players and bringing too many new faces in, rather than as simple as replacing a player with one of similar quality, this team have come up together and need to stay together for now. Imagine if we sold John Ruddy. Yes we could bring in a player of similar quality, but I bet he's a huge part of the dressing room.

Who would define reasonable? We might consider selling any player if the the bid is "pleasantly" high.

In terms of three more or less essential to the team I would reckon Howson, Bassong and Redmond. (I am not sure how well Johnson will play in the Premiership, and how often he would be allowed to leave defensive duties and get forward, given the quality of opposition attacks. I had to rule out Wes for a similar reason, but also because his playing days at the highest level may be fairly limited.)

I wonder what type of play Neil will adopt next season. At our best this season we were a quick passing and moving team, like the second goal at Wembley, admired by so many people. I hope that this is what we shall play more comprehensively next season. This could make some players more vital than others.
