Surman looked light weight and poor.

Does Hoolahan do enough to have a team built around him.

Steven Whittaker was awful.

Did we put 1 good cross in ? No.

Why did we bring Tettey on when we already had Johnson on when we were losing and looking for a goal ?

Well we all knew Redmond isnt a striker and Martin is a much better right back than Whittaker. I think E.Bennett is a right winger not the right side of the diamond, we played central midfielder Andrew Crofts there when we played diamond 3 yrs ago. I personally dont think we are playing to are strengths.

Not my impression. Redmond up front was worth trying, given that Hooper was not available. Sadly, he didn't make the most of it. What I did like was the amount of movement up front, Bennett included. This is more complex to make work, but I hope to see more of it. Thought Lafferty looked to be a handful when he came on. A 1-0 loss in an away game doesn't make a season.

Lafferty was decent i agree. I didnt think Wolves were any good either tho. No shots on target in 1st half. Watford is going to be tough, looked good at weekend with Deeney & Vydra.

I think this lineup could have worked at home or against a lesser side but not Wolves away. We should have gone back to basics and gone with 4231/433 or 442 today.

Not sure bennet would have gotten in the team if we had Howson or O'Neil available. Tettey should have been in ahead of him imo. No way near enough balance today,

Adams has tried Redmond upfront, starting with his first game in charge against Fulham, and it has met with no success. The mind boggles what he was thinking of starting with Redmond as a striker and Lafferty on the bench.

Think Adams is trying to be more clever than what we need to be. Lets concentrate on the basics, lets get wingers in who have pace and can cross a ball.

I don't think we should panic after one game. I think it was worth giving Redmond a go up top but if we were doing that I'd prefer it to be with Lafferty so we could use his knock-ons with Redmond's pace. A lot of players under-performed today but I'm not panicking, we never win on the first day of the season and playing Wolves away was a tough assignment.
