DF reports that Alex Pritchard is scheduled to return over the second part of the international fortnight and could be back on the pitch before Christmas.

“Alex will probably return to team training during the international break,” said Farke. “We hope he can be back in the second week. That does not mean after one or two sessions he is back and can start playing. But after two or three weeks maybe some minutes in games. Because Pritchard has been out for so long, he won’t be able to play straight away. He won’t be 100pc but then we can look to have him starting games from mid-December or January. The situation has improved.”

Now that is excellent news.......................

Lost cause, I get sick of seeing him in our squad list tbh. 

That last 6 months of transfer business tarnishes my memories of David McNally somewhat, he took a gamble and then walked away to leave us to clean up the mess. 

£8m on Naismith and £2.5m on Jarvis, who was already crocked. Both 3.5 year contracts, and the worst thing is we gave a 3.5 year deal to Jarvis so we could sign Patrick f*cking Bamford on loan for a few months and then never play him. 

McNally did a lot for our club but went off the rails towards the end, that last January window was abysmal and we'd be in a much better place if we'd just not signed anybody at all, he threw £10.5m at two players that are unsalable  <_<

I know that every manager and the reign of every boardroom picks up a bit of deadwood, but with relegation looking a real possibility that was reckless and uncharacteristic of McNally, we're paying the price for it and will be for the next 20 months.

Yeah it does seem that he lost his way towards the end, I have heard a few rumours but nothing I would care to repeat. The board seemed pretty enthusiastic to accept his resignation when he tendered it in bizarre, late night circumstances....
