Actually, to completely fess up, I think I have a man-crush on Colin Murray and do listen to his show when I can. I also think Johnny Vaughan is funny weekend is also very good. However, most of the rest is pretty bad.

I hope this is the case, because I genuinely believe we are better than other clubs and fans, in every respect, not just this. And it saddens me when these things happen, and I hope the wider football world can take this in context, and not paint us all as racist, knuckle draggers.

Nice to see us getting some positive media attention for how it was dealt with rather than just slating for it happening in the first place.

Either way it's a horrible way to start off the season. Just because you're surrounded by the wonderland that is Wolves doesn't suddenly warrant you to act like a bloody idiot.

I'm really pleased that something positive is coming out of a pretty unpleasant episode. As an update, I was contacted by Norfolk Police today after the club passed my details to them. I will be giving a statement to them in the morning.

Had a message from West Mids police today. A person has been charged with racially aggravated public order offences following Wolves away game. Bailed and due to appear in Court in 2 weeks time.

Merged your two threads Andy so that all the new members have some context, we had less than 100 members when the Wolves game was played believe it or not.

If they plead not guilty you may be required to attend as a witness?

Yes, if a "Not Guilty" plea is entered it is very likely that I will be called to give evidence as the complaint was made in my name.

Just had a letter from the CPS

"following an investigation by the Police, Andrew Mark Hills appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on 6th October. At this hearing the defendant pleaded guilty to the offences of racially aggravated harassment. The defendant was sentenced by magistrates as follows

Fined £480

Surcharge £48

Costs £85"

Personally I'm delighted with the way both the club and the police dealt with this and would urge any fellow supporters to report anyone using racist language or gestures. I was disgusted to witness this incident but am glad that I put my version of events, which were not disputed by the defendant, on this board shortly after the event to put an end to the rumours that it was more than one Norwich fan involved.

It was one person who now hopefully faces a long ban from the club.

Well done for taking action- I've been following City at games for over 20 years now and never heard any racist comments but it just goes to show it can happen any time, and should never be tolerated.
