Revenue?

Could somebody please explain why our Premier League revenue of £67.1M was the 19th highest? Surely we must have beaten the five clubs below us in attendances or do they charge extortionate prices? How can Bournemouth have had more revenue with crowds averaging 11000+? And we sell all our season tickets?

Perhaps it's because they mean premier league revenue, not overall revenue, hence 19th

It is effectively the premier prize money,   not including tickets sales, sponsorship, hospitality and all the other income streams.   The variables are final position (merit money) and number of live tv games shown (facility fees).

I've never liked that the top four get more prize money than the rest. They get the European riches as well as additional TV revenue from the extra TV games. I'd give them a lower or equal rate to the fifth place to allow for greater competition.

appreciate though that last season probably defeats this argument....
