Indeed.  I don't buy this at all.

Do you think there's a realistic chance of him coming to the Championship, Bethnal? Would've thought that a player of his calibre would attract top-flight interest. Would be something of a coup if we could pull it off!

Seems several Premier League clubs have passed on taking him on loan, Newcastle being the latest.

It would be a coup and would seem more likely at the end of the window when all other opportunities have passed him by - think he'd want to be pretty much guaranteed first team football if he came to Norwich.

would indeed be an excellent signing, but were would we play him? At the moment, as both central midfielders are defensive, we can play only one out-and-out winger - Redmond. He still shows the potential he had when he arrived, but doesn't seem to be improving rapidly. Logically, then, if Sinclair came he would replace Redmond, which wouldn't do much to develop Redmond any faster!  The same could apply to Josh, who has generally played well in brief substitute appearances. He would be pushed out of regular football, and his brother even further.

We do need a replacement for  Pilks, and if Sinclair could come and grab and create goals, then this would enhance our promotion prospects, but at a cost.

Bethnal, I've got no problem with players wanting "Guaranteed 1st team football" if they are good enough (Sinclair should be) but surely he should have to fight our other players for a spot. If he's good enough then fair enough but i wouldn't want some contract stating we have to play him.

I wonder if now we see our squad (other than maybe a CB and a Fer replacement) as more or less sorted and are now just testing the water with some players unlikely to join but may see us as plan B? There's no harm trying. I'd love us to go for someone like Nick Powell.

Redmond should have to compete for his place like any other player. Improving our chances of promotion are more important than anything else, and a loan deal wouldn't be a permanent threat to Redmond or Murphy.

Yellow Fever, we want that the case with every player but we also don't want to end up marginalising players. It's hard to manage a squad of 25! Imagine we'd let Garrido go as he was out of favour and then Olsson got injured long term or sold? We'd be stuck then!

I have absolutely no problem with him coming in to the positions currently held by Redmond. As has been mentioned, promotion is the key and maybe Redmond needs this push to really take the next step. I only remember Sinclair playing out wide, but does anyone know if he has experience playing through the middle? so could he in affect do a job in Wes's place if Wes needs a break or gets injured? or in that instance would it be better to shift Redmond inside and stick Scott out on the wing. Going through everything without having any concrete source say we are even interested.

On a loan deal would you put in a buy clause if we are promoted at the end of the season? I know i'd be tempted to do that.

Also saw this morning that Sunderland may have submitted a bid for him, so I guess we'll find out.

He scored 20 odd for Swans last time he was in the championship. I'm not sure where he played though.

I think the key to managing our squad is versatile players. Like you say, Sinclair could be used as competition for both Wes and Redmond. I don't feel we need to worry too much about injury crisis's as at this level we can basically loan players when we like.

I don't think he's one that'd be that happy tracking back, as Redmond has learnt to so we'd have to use him as a winger rather than think he'd be playing LM in a 4-4-2.

He'd be most useful in a 4-2-3-1 being able to play in any of the 3 or potentially as the 1 depending on how we do it.

I'm pretty certain he was a winger at Swansea along with Dyer. Redmond is not going to play all 46 matches of this season so it makes sense to have a top quality player to share the burden. How the share is apportioned, however is dependent on other players. I.e., Murphy, Lafferty, Bennett. We need two fast wingers each game with one on the bench if we are to perform in what appears to be the "Adams" way.

Interesting juxtaposition of views here. Will not happen because he will want to stay in the premiership v where would we play him/who would he replace.

He would surely be an upgrade on what we have, so great if it does come off. There are a lot of games this season so we will need to rotate to keep players fresh. Plenty of opportunity for all to have a role!

He's always played WL when I've seen him. Lafferty seems to have changed from WL to WR, so could be something in it, if he's willing to come.

I'd rather have Clive Sinclair, he could drive a C5 up and down the left wing.

A Sinclair C5 is a lot slower than a Sinclair Scott. And using one on one of our wings would guarantee we do not achieve promotion.

I would like to see this happen but very much doubt it will. I did notice that this rumour had made it to the Sky Sports rumour section. Think and I hope we are going to be in for a rollercoaster of a ride over the next few days!

Seen a couple of websites saying that we will make a move to get him in on loan this month. The Mirror have reported though that we'll only go for him if we sell Redmond.
