I can’t wait to see what you’re going to post when we’re struggling !

We have been struggling, its been hard work all those last minute wins and draws against teams not as good as us.
We have alot of potential in our squad and I personally think it could have been utilized better.
It seems that we've been signing young attacking midfielders for years now, be nice to have a striker/ goalkeeper/ defensive midfielder for the first team.

I didn't explain very clearly.

The lad isn't going to Celtic because 'he wont be guaranteed gametime'

We have as attacking midfielders a list of names-
McLean (who he is similar to), EMI, Onel, Todd, Steiperman, Vrancic, Mo, etc etc.

He surely cant get a game in our team? Cant imagine he would settle for U23 or the odd cup game?

Or is the media stuff just a ruse to make Todd sign on the dotted line?

I thought Turnbull actually just wanted the "best club for his development", it was Scott Brown who then said "I don't think anyone is going to get in their contract that they will play 100% of the games".

I highly doubt that Turnbull or his agent have asked anybody for such a ridiculous clause, Scott Brown is just a moron.

Also.... it has been reported that Celtic offered him a deal worth "20 times" more than his Motherwell contract.... but he only broke through a year ago, for all we know he could still be on £400 a week Perhaps the bloke just prefers Rangers?

Oh and.... not sure us having Cantwell is a barrier to him getting some game time, if anything Cantwell should be going to Motherwell for a year as part of the deal to toughen up / straighten out his thinking.

You'd expect so wouldn't you, we're probably two divisions above their level.

But we've got the homegrown quota to think about (8 players out of 25 in the squad) and it may be that a few can only go when homegrown players arrive?

I think I read that Ben Marshall will be coming back for pre season to try and impress. Hard to see him getting in the team though.

That's the usual line they roll out though, isn't it? Especially when the club has gone up a league (and even more so to the promised land).

Pobably because we want to land a right back before allowing him to leave, so preparing for the possibility that he's needed as an emergency option? With Pinto and Passlack gone, and Thompson constantly crocked.... he's our backup right back up until the point at which a new one arrives.

Then he'll be free to leave?

He has already gone, signed for Hannover! I think the difference being is that Marshall helps us with the homegrown rule, so could well be kept on that basis.
