And yeah may as well confirm it now that it's obvious to a lot of people, but Adam Idah was who I was told would be 3rd choice striker this season. So still expecting to see Srbeny loaned out, leaving Pukki, Drmic and Idah.

I wouldn't have thought so. Only striker I can see us bringing in now is Rhodes if Sheffield Wednesday are willing to accept an extremely cut price, and Rhodes was happy to come here and likely get very few minutes.

It will have to be enough. What does a Premiership sure thing striker cost now? 30 million? More? Webber has made it clear that we go with what we can afford.

I was hoping for another Pukki type gem from our star recruitment team! I do realise £30m strikers or anyone else for that matter is a no no.

Yeah to be fair I would've liked to have seen us spend a bit more money on a striker for someone who is a bit more of a marquee signing. Obviously no-one is guaranteed goals particularly at Premier League level, and I know it would go completely against our own model but I would've loved to have seen us sign someone like Che Adams, whose obviously just gone to Southampton for £15m. As I said before I do back Pukki to do well this season but if he didn't or got injured at least we'd have someone who we know could make the step up to fall back on, whereas Drmic doesn't really feel like that guy.

Though that all said, I completely trust Farke and Webber, and Drmic very much fits the model we have of quality players who have lost their way a bit, and if we can bring out the player he's shown previously he can be, then we'll have a brilliant striker on our hands. Overall I'm happy with our striking options, think it's just a keeper (Fahrmann to be announced today?), a back up right back, a defensive midfielded and possibly one more attacking mid/winger still to go.

Remember that best laid plans often change.
Krul wasn't number one in Farkes plan, he became number one after it all went wrong during preseason.
Rhodes was supposed to be the main striker with Pukki chipping in as backup.
Etc etc

I was also hoping for a Maupey or Adams standard marquee signing, but would be pointless if we don't sign a top DM... And I'm really hoping we still do that.
