Although that's not as ludicrous as the Mings fee, with two cruciate ligament injuries behind him and a bizarre impulsion to stamp on people's heads.

With fees this ludicrous for domestic talent is it any wonder that were focused on youth for our homegrown quota and shopping overseas for the experienced players?

Yeah Amadou set to be completed today apparently. Can't claim to know too much about him but seemed to be really highly rated at Lille hence why he got a move to Sevilla, but he just hasn't been able to break into the first team there.

Like the idea of this signing a lot. Seems to be more in the Tettey mould than Trybull, and the fact we're bringing him in would suggest he's also comfortable on the ball. Assuming we get this one over the line I'll be delighted with the window we've had. Defensive midfield was the final area we needed to address and I was worried when Farke said a few days ago he didn't think there'd be any more signings, so will be very pleased if this all goes through.

I think the club have remained coy strategically.

Watch Leicester get mugged by whoever for the Maguire replacement because they know they've got £80m + not much time at all.

By making out we aren't all that fussed + are really skint we aren't going to be targeted by agents and clubs out to rip us off.

Happened to us with Wildschut, we were desperate so Wigan took a healthy chunk of the £13m they knew we'd just received.

I suspect Webber has been anxious about DM from the minute the last season finished haha

Leicester asked Bournemouth about Nathan Ake and were quoted £75m.

Yeah Amadou confirmed to be in Norwich having his medical earlier today, so expected to be announced tomorrow. Delighted with that.

Also, out of nowhere, reports in France are saying that we've had a 'considerable offer', apparently in the region of £10-12m, accepted for Lorient attacking midfielder Alexis Claude-Maurice, a really promising 21 year old who Arsenal supposedly had a bid rejected for earlier in the window. He's apparently gonna speak to Farke later today, as it's essentially now his decision because Lorient have accepted our bid.

I doubt this will happen, but it's a really exciting prospect. I don't actually think another attacking midfielder would be overkill either, if we were to loan Cantwell out, which I was all in favour for a few weeks ago but it would be harsh on him seeing as he's had a great pre-season, and I think that's one of the reasons Claude-Maurice probably won't happen. I've obviously never seen him play but he looks and sounds like a brilliant player, and obviously really young still.
