According to Adams, he has no special meetings with the Board or with McN, although they meet and speak almost daily. He admitted that they shared the feelings of all of us, that recent results were disappointing, although performances were not as bad as scores suggested.

So everyone knows.

It would seem that the outers and others may continue to let off steam, but little change sees imminent this side of Christmas, short of a couple of really dire performances.

I don't think its fair terming people as outers, more people wanting improvement, however that may occur. Perhaps, rightly or wrongly influenced as to their opinion of how the board dealt with the previous manager.

I, and a lot of people I know didn't particularly have Adams down as first choice, and raised an eyebrow when he was appointed, but thought "Okay Neil, go ahead and prove us wrong".

Which he did for a while. But one win in ten, is dire form, whatever the club or the manager is. 

I would like him to succeed, because that is the best result for all concerned, sacking a manager rarely guarantees improvement, but what I saw on Saturday didn't inspire me with confidence that he can turn this around.

I guess we'll have to see just how much of a difference Phelan can make.

I have everything crossed for that to happen Wiz.......and I was definitely one of those "Okay Neil, go ahead and prove us wrong" fans when he was appointed.

So you two must be more than a little disappointed tonight then. One win doesn't turn things around, but it's a start.
