Spurs have just bid 15 million for Jack Grealish. Interesting on a few levels, firstly in the perceived value compared to Maddison, and also for the fact that the Pinkun were reporting that Spurs were entering the race for Maddison.

They were talking about this on the radio today. Basically an opening bid for a player with potential to a club who have got themselves into an awkward financial situation.

I like the idea of Maddison to Spurs though. Or at least as many as possible clubs interested and trying to outbid each other.

Spurs bid for Grealish is a bit like when we first bid for Brady when he was at Hull. If they really want him they’ll finish up paying at least £25m

I would be surprised if they got from £15m to £25m. Unless it was potential add-ons.

I hope that we have a substantial sell on clause attached to Maddison regardless of initial fee and who signs him, considering the rate of football inflation. Actually I hope we've got that same with both the Murphy's for the same reason.

Thompson and Godfrey would count, and both be involved I would hope. Remi Mathews is going to, at least, make the bench. Theres a promising youngster (right back) who has just signed a pro contract. Jamal Lewis. I don't think we are too far off, though struggling to think of too many more, shame Carlton Morris got injured.

Is it 7 in the matchday squad? Maybe we'll just pad it out with a few more youngsters? Abrahams? Fonkeu?

Swansea and West Brom both apparently looking at Ben Godfrey for £3m, not going to lie I'd be disappointed if we sold him this summer, looks like the perfect chance for him to be part of the first team squad this year, I understand the reasons behind selling Pritchard, Murphy and likely Maddison, but not this one, I'd much rather have him be part of the squad than get the £3m

Doesn't sound that believable to me. Hasn't played above L1 and arguably isn't going to get into our team when everyone is fit.

I wouldn't be happy if he goes either, I think someone is being a bit clever here maybe, a bit of a "use me or lose me" ploy from his agent perhaps? There were Prem scouts watching him this season.

I would have thought he would be ahead of Thompson who missed the whole season?
