That John Ruddy question.....

Agree Morty, dropping Ruddy would be a huge risk. Plus I do think the microscope needs to come off him as all that is happening is that his errors are being highlighted,  when he has also been pulling off some great saves too, like he did Sunday. 

I'm not pretending his form hadn't dipped, he himself said as much. But I do think in the last few games he has been much better.

Worst case scenario, you bring Rudd in, and he's less than impressive, then you have two keepers short on confidence. I was calling for Rudd to be given a chance, but I can see now that Alex Neil has probably done the right thing here.

JR's form is NOT getting better it's getting worse, in fact not withstanding him being at fault for Arseh*le's goal watching him flap about on Sunday was cringworthy at times. Rudd can do no worse he should be given his chance end of IMHO.

I'll say again, Ruddy is costing us points

Watching him from the Lower Barclay on Sunday, my partner pointed out how "haunted" he looks. I really do think he deserves a break.

Apart from the errors, he just isn't imposing himself. The one in the 2nd half where it bounced over him after he was caught by surprise was not pretty to watch and that was probably his third error in the same match (apart from his poor kicking).

And surely the same pressure was on Rudd in the three Capital One Cup matches he played. If he had made a blue in any of those games he would certainly have blown any chance of ousting Ruddy.

Personally, I think Ruddy should be dropped.  There is an element of risk with Rudd but his appearances this season combined with Ruddy's performances make me believe playing him is less of a risk than sticking with Ruddy.

Additionally, surely the logic must be, is this guy on form, if not, do you have an adequate replacement, if yes, then play him.  You might stick with a goalkeeper for a bit longer than an outfield player because their mistakes are magnified, but this has gone on for quite a while now.  If you don't apply that, why would you ever have an additional goalkeeper. 

I think its easy to get caught up in possibilities rather than dealing with facts, Rudd not performing is not a fact until it happens (in any case he has been performing well when called upon), at this point you must believe he is a more than able to deputy.

This has come out of the blue

D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid is on his way to England for training, according to this report from the Washington Post's Steve Goff. Hamid is reportedly going to be training with English Premier League club Norwich City.

In addition to having one of the least intimidating mascots in the history of sports (They're the Canaries... THE CANARIES!!!), Norwich isn't very good at this game we call soccer. The small, yellow birds are three points out of the relegation zone, and they've conceded the fifth most goals in the league so far this season.

Speculation started to run a little wild yesterday when Hamid posted this picture to his Instagram account with the location being London. Was he finally going to make the long-rumored transfer to the Premier League?

Just as a reminder going back to Sunday,  whilst I wasn't at Carrow Road on Sunday, from the live coverage it was clear there was a hell of a wind blowing, surely that was a major factor in any uncertainty,  it was clearly moving the ball around.

Obviously the USA is so far behind in terms of "sarker" that they are at the junior parks level where Mums and Dads intimidate the opposition players.
