The thing with Ed is, his position as chairman is mainly a symbolic one, and I would say doesn't carry that much power. 

Most who dislike him, do so because he is Ed Balls.

Tricky one. You could point to millions wasted previously, but they are gone, moaning about them won't bring them back.

The club will have to handle this very carefully....

Hmmm... not sure how I feel about that one. 

When fans returned their rebates and Foulger matched their contributions, he got his paid back upon promotion as it was treated as a loan from a director. The fans were rewarded with increased season ticket prices. 

Not sure whether the club have invested enough into their goodwill account to start trying to make withdrawals. 

How about issuing a bond to fans that they can convert back into cash after promotion if they choose? Sounds much fairer to me, and I think take up would be much higher if somebody is offering to match contributions again (e.g Delia or Foulger). As I mentioned the other day, they had their loans repaid and should perhaps be considering injecting that cash back into the club?

Yeah that sounds a possibility. I think season ticket renewal will be tricky enough, especially if we're still not playing well.
