One swallow a summer does not make of course, however, having just kicked the crap out of two swallows the past couple of games, we certainly must have struck a huge psychological blow to the north east's hopes of top flight football come August.

We have 6 games to go yet before we can sleep without twitching, however, when I read AN saying that he's not going to stop fighting & won't allow the players to let up, then maybe, just maybe, is that The Fat Lady clearing her voice, getting ready to sing like a Canary?

It's not gonna be easy for Rafa or Big Sam now to keep their players mentally in a good place.

I think Newcastle are screwed, but I still think Sunderland have that little bit of quality, in Defoe especially, to maybe pull off the odd result. If Palace beat us tomorrow then they are all but safe.

Pressure's getting to them. Defoe's never been in a relegation battle and the crowd get to him. He missed sitters  against us, they have Leicester Sunday. You beat Palace who haven't won this year and it's 7pts beat Sunderland it'll be 10pts you'll do it man honest

The comments made by Pardew this week were quite telling, they are struggling big time.

This time tomorrow we could be in a really good position.

I'm not taking it for granted, it's hard for any team at any time to win 3 on the bounce in the Prem, but it's a game we shouldn't lose and could win.

Did you see what Alex Neil replied, about his comments about playing in front of a loud and intimidating crowd? He said, "We played in front of 90,000 at Wembley, that won't bother us".
