Knutsen rumblings do seem to be ramping up, though nothing too concrete yet.

I don’t know anything about him but it seems he’s been a major success in Norweigen football, and is seen as someone quite progressive and fairly highly rated by those who know more about him. He used to manager Normann as well. Big ask to step in from Norweigen football and have an immediate impact in the Prem but Webber and co clearly think he’s capable.
I think he fits our profile more so than the likes of Lampard.

Seeing reports we haven't talked to Knutsen, seeing others it is between Smith and Lampard.

I think that we normally do our business very quietly, and that it could well end up being none of the above. I don't think Villa looking for a new manager has any bearing whatsoever, I think we will be shopping in different shops.

It's always been mooted that Webber would have DF's successor already decided on, whether that's true or not I wouldn't know. If that's the case I suspect all the speculation, press and other, is likely to be just that. They're pretty good at keeping things out of the public domain.

Sky Sports Twitter now reckon the Southampton manager. There must be some betting scam going on with Skybet. Absolutely no way the Southampton manager would leave them to come to us!

Clearly the Smith report is nonsense. How could Webber have any credibility replacing a manager who won one and drew two of his last five games with a manager who lost them all?

The Sexy Bennet account on Twitter reckons It's Knutsen.

Though hardly sticking your neck out naming someone who was favourite anyway...
Knutsen was number 1 target but possibly couldn't get a deal completed.

Looking on Twitter, a lot of people are going to be disappointed if it isn't Frankie Lampard...
I don't know much about Lampard or Knutsen's management styles, but if I was to go on face value....
My initial reaction is that Lampard knows the league here, would command respect because of his playing history and has a good contact list for sourcing players if needed.

No to Lampard for me. He couldn't be further from a Webber type, if he tried. Most people just want him because he is a "name".

Took Derby from 6th, to 6th, and got the job at Chelsea on the back of that, because he is Frank Lampard. People citing the job he did there with youth, but he had no choice, they were under a transfer embargo. And lets face it, a lot of the youth he had would walk into a lot of teams, so I'm not having this sudden reputation that he is somehow a genius at developing youth. As somebody already said, this is likely his agent fluffing up interest to get him the Villa job. I don't know where people have got these credentials that he would be a man to keep us up, something he has zero experience in, managing Chelsea would be a very different job to ours. We have just got rid of a manager that loved the bones of this club, who truly believed in our long term project, who understood what it is to manage us, warts and all, accepting the financial limitations without a moan. That really doesn't sound like Lampard.

Also, what makes you think that a multi millionaire, London based playboy is even remotely interested in managing bottom of the league, likely to be relegated, Norwich?

Would be funny if the supporters had to make the decision. :D

Couldn't agree more. If Webber wanted to wind us up, that would be the way to do it, or should I say those with a brain cell still working.
