Not withstanding the actual games themselves, to what lengths have people gone to , to try and get/watch a City game?
I have a tale from the Vitesse Arnhem away game, that those who may know Kathy Blake (long standing City fan) she has actually put this story into print
I was in the Forces at the time and travelled to Carrow Road for a 4.30 a.m Coach pick up, when I got to the ground there were lots of cars, but no coaches, and one or two souls wandering around. I soon gathered that the Coaches departure time had been changed and they had left earlier than we thought! I talked to this Lady ( whose name was Kathy) about the situation, and even though she didn't know me from any old serial killer, we decided to try and catch the Coaches up, so merrily she jumped into my car and we hunted the Coaches down. Two hours and fifteen minutes later we arrived in Dover (well there wasn't a lot of traffic on the road *ahem*) to finally catch the Coaches before they boarded the Ferry
My Coach driver's face was a picture when I knocked on the door and explained why he had an empty seat that had my name on it!
I believe Kathy has flashbacks about that journey, and these days they call it Post Traumatic Stress!!
